The Best Words in Sports

Game Seven.

After an all-time double OT game six victory, the Raptors look ahead to game seven. It was one of those heart-stopping games that’s high intensity every possession.

Brad Stevens and Nick Nurse have done masterful jobs coaching. They are chess masters that will be executing their final moves. It really shows the importance of great coaching in the NBA. Coaches who are one-trick ponies have regular season success. Come playoff time you have to be ready to adapt. Game seven will be an epic clash of these chess masters. The Raptors having championship experience and the reigning Coach of the Year will show their resiliency.

WHAT A GAME.

Small Ball

Coach Nurse has only used ‘small ball’ in short bursts. Nurse hadn’t used it consistently until game 6. Most of the fourth quarter and both overtimes, the Raptors played small.

SMALL BALL RAPTORS FORCE GAME 7

The change of pace for the Raptors is what help solidify the game six win. Every win in this series, by both teams, has been the team that controls the pace-of-play. Look for Coach Nurse and the Raptors to try a few different rotations and control the pace-of-play in game seven.

Never Underestimate a Heart of a Champion

The Raptors have been counted out this whole season. They have been underestimated and under appreciated by American media. The Heart of a Champion is truly shining now as they continue to overcome adversity.

Celtics fans have been complaining about the reffing the entire series, which confused me. The Raptors have had the far greater foul discrepancy throughout the whole series. Game six was the closest it has been all series and the Raptors still had one more foul call against them.

The ‘L2M Report’ of game two admitted Siakam was fouled in his late game drive, that would have put the Raptors ahead.

Game six, in the final seconds of regulation, OG Anunoby was fouled on a lob pass. The call was given, but as a non-shooting foul. Anunoby should have been on the free throw line to take the lead.

Marcus Smart is the king…of flopping and has created many non-contact fouls.

Raptors Don’t Give Excuses

Adversity stares them in the face, the Raptors still forge ahead and show their resolve. That’s the heart of a champion. They will expect game seven to have calls not go their way.

Let’s all echo the Championship resolve and believe as fans! Don’t bring that negativity.

Expect the Raptors to win game seven. Don’t be that fan that doubts all the way through.
