Wednesday July 31

The Houston Astros have acquired RHP Zack Greinke and cash from the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks will receive OF Seth Beer, RHP Corbin Martin, RHP J.B. Bukauskas, and IF/OF Josh Rojas.

The Atlanta Braves have acquired RHP Mark Melancon from the San Francisco Giants. The Giants will receive LHP Joey Wentz and OF Travis Demeritte.

The Atlanta Braves have acquired RHP Shane Greene from the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers will receive RHP Tristan Beck and RHP Dan Winkler.

The Chicago Cubs acquired OF Nicholas Castellanos and cash considerations from the Detroit Tigers, and will send RHP Paul Richan and RHP Alex Lange to the Tigers.

The San Francisco Giants have acquired 2B Scooter Gennett and cash from the Cincinnati Reds for a player to be named later.

The Houston Astros have acquired RHP Aaron Sanchez, RHP Joe Biagini, and OF Cal Stevenson from the Toronto Blue Jays. The Blue Jays will receive OF Derek Fisher in return.

The Oakland A’s have acquired RHP Tanner Roark from the Cincinnati Reds. The Reds will receive OF Jameson Hannah in return.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have acquired RHP Mike Leake and cash considerations from the Seattle Mariners. The Mariners will receive IF Jose Caballero.

The Philadelphia Philles acquired OF Corey Dickerson from the Pittsburgh Pirates for a player to be named later, and international bonus pool money.

The Minnesota Twins acquired RHP Sam Dyson from the San Francisco Giants. The Giants will receive OF Jaylin Davis, RHP Prelander Berroa, and RHP Kai-Wei Teng.

The Tampa Bay Rays acquired RHP Trevor Richards and RHP Nick Anderson from the Miami Marlins. The Marlins will receive RHP Ryne Stanek and OF Jesus Sanchez in return.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have acquired RHP Zac Gallen from the Miami Marlins. The Marlins will receive SS Jazz Chisholm in return.

The Washington Nationals have acquired RHP Hunter Strickland from the Seattle Mariners. The Mariners will receive LHP Aaron Fletcher in return.

The Milwaukee Brewers have acquired LHP Drew Pomeranz and RHP Ray Black from the San Francisco Giants. In return, the Giants will receive SS Mauricio Dubon.

The Washington Nationals have acquired LHP Roenis Elias from the Seattle Mariners. They are sending LHP Taylor Guilbeau and RHP Elvis Alvarado to the Mariners.

The LA Dodgers have acquired LHP Adam Kolarek from the Tampa Bay Rays, and are sending OF Niko Hulsizer to the Rays.

The San Diego Padres acquired Carl Edwards Jr. and international bonus money from the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs received LHP Brad Wieck in return.

The Los Angeles Angels have acquired C Max Stassi from the Houston Astros, and will send two outfielders, Rainier Rivera and Raider Uceta, to the Astros.

The Washington Nationals acquired RHP Daniel Hudson from the Toronto Blue Jays. The Blue Jays will receive RHP Kyle Johnston.

The LA Dodgers acquired Jedd Gyorko, 2019-2020 international cap space, and cash considerations from the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals received LHP Tony Cingrani and RHP Jeffry Abreu.

The Houston Astros acquired C Martin Maldonado from the Cubs, and the Cubs received INF/OF Tony Kemp in return.

The Tampa Bay Rays have acquired Jesus Aguilar from Milwaukee. Milwaukee will receive RHP Jake Faria in return.

The Texas Rangers acquired RHP Nate Jones, international slot compensations, and cash considerations from the White Sox for RHP Joe Jarneski and RHP Ray Castro.

Tuesday July 30

The Cleveland Indians, Cincinnati Reds, and San Diego Padres have completed a three team trade that sent Trevor Bauer to the Reds. The Padres will receive outfield prospect Taylor Trammell, and the Indians will receive Yasiel Puig, Franmil Reyes, Victor Nova, Logan Allen, and minor league pitcher Scott Moss.

The Chicago Cubs acquired RHP David Phelps and cash considerations from the Toronto Blue Jays. In return, the Blue Jays received RHP prospect Thomas Hatch.

Monday July 29

The Pittsburgh Pirates have traded Jordan Lyles to the Milwaukee Brewers. The Pirates will receive RHP Cody Ponce, who is 25 years old and a AA starter right now.

The Philadelphia Phillies have received LHP Jason Vargas and cash considerations in a trade with the New York Mets. In return, the Mets have received prospect Austin Bossart, who is currently a catcher in AA. The Phillies immediately put Vargas on the active roster.

Sunday July 28

The Tampa Bay Rays have traded infielder Christian Arroyo and RHP Hunter Wood to the Cleveland Indians. The Rays will receive prospect Ruben Cardenas and international signing money.

The Toronto Blue Jays have traded Marcus Stroman to the New York Mets. Details of the entire trade still have not been officially released, but it appears that the Blue Jays will be getting prospects Anthony Kay and Simeon Woods Richardson.

The Toronto Blue Jays have traded Eric Sogard to the Tampa Bay Rays. The deal is pending a physical, and all details have not been released as of yet. Sogard will help the Rays, who have been struggling with injuries this season in the infield.

Saturday July 27

The Minnesota Twins have acquired RHP Sergio Romo, pitching prospect Chris Vallimont, and a player to be named later from the Miami Marlins. In return, the Marlins will receive first baseman Lewin Diaz. Romo is 36 years old and will provide some necessary veteran experience to the Twins bullpen. He has 17 saves this season.

The Oakland A’s have acquired left-hander Jake Diekman from the Kansas City Royals. In return, the Royals will receive two minor league prospects, and they are pitcher Ismael Aquino and outfielder Dairon Blanco. Diekman is 0-6 on the season with a 4.75 ERA, but does have 63 strikeouts in 41 and 2/3 innings pitched.

Friday July 26

The Chicago Cubs have acquired left-handed pitcher Derek Holland from the San Francisco Giants. The Giants receive cash considerations in return from the Cubs. Holland has pitched very well against left handed batters this season, holding them to a .182 batting average. The Cubs will be looking for him to continue that dominance after making this trade.

Thursday July 25

The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired 1B Tyler White from the Houston Astros. The Dodgers received RHP Andre Scrubb in return. Scrubb was 6-1 with a 2.45 ERA for Double-A Tulsa this season. Tyler White had been having a disappointing year for Houston, hitting .225 with 3 HR’s in 218 official at-bats.

Wednesday July 17

The New York Yankees acquired outfielder Terrance Gore from the Kansas City Royals for cash. Gore was sent to AAA after being acquired by the Yankees. It appears that they are trading for the services of a base-running specialist for the playoffs. Gore is 40 for 49 in his career in stolen base attempts, and could be a valuable piece for the Yankees in tight ballgames during the playoffs.

Monday July 15

The Chicago Cubs have acquired catcher Martin Maldonado from the Kansas City Royals. In return, the Royals received LHP Mike Montgomery. It looks like the Royals want to convert Mike Montgomery back into a starting pitcher, as he has been a long reliever during his tenure with Cubs, occasionally making a spot start. The Cubs are getting extra reinforcement at the catcher position to back-up Willson Contreras and Victor Caratini.

Sunday July 14

The Oakland Athletics have acquired starting pitcher Homer Bailey from the Kansas City Royals. In return, the Royals are receiving SS Kevin Merrell. Bailey will provide the A’s with some veteran leadership in the starting rotation, and will be a free agent at the end of the season. Merrell was the number 33 selection in the 2017 MLB Draft.

Saturday July 13

The Red Sox acquire Andrew Cashner and cash considerations from the Baltimore Orioles. In return the Orioles received propsects Elio Prado and Noelberth Romero.
