Green is now under contract for the next 5 years at 118 million dollars. Green who had one year left on his contract could have enter next year as a unrestricted free agent. Green possibly could have made 30 million a season if he hit free agency but with the injuries to Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant players are looking for more financial security instead of taking the risk.
Green average 7.4 points 7.3 rebounds and 6.9 assists for the Warriors last year. The Warriors have now locked up the original championship core for the foreseeable future.
