McGregor Praises Diaz While Alluding Trilogy

The long awaited return of Nate Diaz happened at UFC 241. As the co-main event of the evening, Diaz beat Anthony Pettis in a unanimous decision. Stockton’s finest is finally back and he is surely to have some big fights lined up. One of them could include Jorge Masvidal, in which Diaz called out in his octagon interview. However let’s look forward, Nate has also said he would like to see a McGregor trilogy. With that being said does this fight makes sense, and will it happen?

McGregor praises Diaz

According to Forbes, Conor McGregor is one of the most valuable athletes on social media. His multiple tweets on Twitter and posts on Instagram receive plenty noise from the media. His latest social media post isn’t anything different from that statement. In McGregor’s most recent post he shows praise and respect to his bitter rival, Nate Diaz.

McGregor called Diaz’s comeback “motivating for his own comeback”. He also gave praise for the strategy Diaz used as he won. “I loved the round 3 style from round 1 that you implemented. It’s what I was hoping you would implement for this bout and was glad to see you do it.”

McGregor is Ready for Trilogy

McGregor said he is ready if or when they go again. “I’ll be prepared for it when we go again. If we go again.” Nate has said the McGregor trilogy would be great, “if that’s something that works into the schedule.” However if August 20th was the last time they meet, McGregor will still have respect for the rivalry the two shared. “If not, respect always. A war for the ages. No b**** talk. Just real s***.”

Final Thoughts

Whether the UFC will book McGregor Diaz 3 is yet to be determined. Regardless, I’m sure fans would love to see this “war” end. If McGregor is a true fighter, he shouldn’t be satisfied with a split decision. As for Nate, this is the chance to backup his words. Fans will realize that you were right about McGregor all these years.
