Ricky Rubio has been a decent all-around point guard in the NBA. He can help this young Suns core mold into a unit. This is what Ricky Rubio can do this season to help the Phoenix Suns.
Ricky Rubio’s 2018 Season
Ricky Rubio was on the Utah Jazz this season and has had past playoff experiences. He had a decent season last year because he averaged 12.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 6.1 assists. Rubio was the starting point guard for the Jazz and proved he was an acceptable opponent for opposing defenses. He averaged 40.4% from the field, 31.1% from the three-point line, and 85.5% from the free-throw line. As long as Rubio puts up the same percentages in a role where he is the second or third option those numbers can skyrocket.

How Ricky Rubio can affect the Suns 2019 season
Rubio is a veteran point guard in the NBA and has had experience in the playoffs for many years. He can be a leader on the team and probably teach Devin Booker how to be more than just a scorer. Rubio has been showing he can play better then last season because of how well he is doing with Spain this FIBA season and he is a suitable starting point guard in the NBA. He has been a good defender averaging around one steal this past season. Rubio will play well next to Booker and Miles Bridges because he will have the most experience on the team.
Conclusion
Rubio is a solid point guard and will have a decent effect on the Suns. Adding him may not make them a playoff-caliber team but they will be close and in the future, they could be in the playoffs. It is either they will be somewhere between a top 12 pick or the eighth seed. Rubio will be a great mentor to the young stars on Phoenix.
