September 28th 7:30am ET– With last week’s energizing win over Everton, Sheffield United will feel confident heading into their toughest task this season. Being at home, it is a possibility Sheffield United could upset a giant. However, Liverpool look to continue their perfect run. Nothing has stopped them this season and they look poised to keep on winning.
Sheffield United vs. Liverpool
Bournemouth vs. West Ham
September 28th 10:00am ET– Both teams are near the top of the table and are looking for an opportunity to get even closer. Being at home, Bournemouth may be able to beat out the Hammers and keep their winning streak going. Comparatively, West Ham is having a wonderful time as they are coming off a simple win over Man United. Both teams will want to build off their wins and continue winning if they want to fight for a spot in the top four.
Aston Villa vs. Burnley
September 28th 10:00am ET– Coming off a tough loss at Arsenal, Aston Villa will want those points back. They will want to get out of the relegated zone as quick as possible because they are the only promoted team in there. Away from home, Burnley may have a more difficult time than they did against Norwich. They only have two wins on the season and will want to move up in the table.
Chelsea vs. Brighton
September 28th 10:00am ET– This week Chelsea will need a spark. After last week’s home loss to Liverpool, Chelsea will want to ignite the home crowd and help Lampard’s men defeat Brighton. They have sunk to eleventh recently and they will need something desperately. Comparatively, Brighton is struggling with only one win on the season. A win away at Chelsea would give so much confidence to this team near the bottom of the table.
Crystal Palace vs. Norwich
September 28th 10:00am ET– After almost winning against Wolves last week, Palace, at home, will want to definitely get the three points this time around. A win would certainly get them into the top ten. On the other hand, despite their win over the Champions a couple weeks ago, Norwich is still near the bottom of the table and will want to continue digging themselves out. Their attack was off last week and will want to get an away win.
Tottenham vs. Southampton
September 28th 10:00am ET– After losing last week’s controversial game to Leicester, Tottenham is in seventh. They have had a rough time finding consistency this season. A win against Southampton would be a good start. However, the Saints may have something to say about that. In thirteenth, Southampton wants a win to get them in the top ten. If they put that desperation into this game, they may just win or get points from it.
Wolverhampton vs. Watford
September 28th 10:00am ET– Both of these teams are stuck at the bottom and are both winless. Wolves have clearly had a better time this season with four draws. At home, Wolves have the advantage. Similarly, Watford has not won a game yet and last week lost 8-0. They need to prove to fans they are not just going to collapse this season. Both teams will be craving a win to get their season truly kick started.
Manchester City vs. Everton
September 28th 12:30pm ET– The reason this is not the game of the weekend is due to Everton’s drop of form. They have been completely unpredictable week in, week out. If they can find their goals this week, they can win, like Norwich did. Alternatively, Man City does not look like a team who wants to drop any more points. After an 8-0 thrashing of Watford, they will want more to catch up to Liverpool.
Leicester City vs. Newcastle
September 29th 11:30am ET– Coming off a 2-1 lucky win over Tottenham, Leicester looks ready again this year to make another run. They want to be in the top four again. I can see it with the team they have, but they have to win games like this to get there. Conversely, Newcastle is struggling and need a win. They are near the bottom of the table and will want to recover themselves.
Manchester United vs. Arsenal
September 30th 3:00pm ET– The last and final game of the weekend is the Match of the Weekend. Man United, a team that is currently struggling and is in eighth, will necessarily want to pull off a win against a strong Arsenal team. They have been missing a strong attacking striker up top. On the opposite side, Arsenal is sitting in fourth and a dominate win over Man United away from home would surely prove their passion and strength this season.
