NXT Review 09/25/19

We get Keith Lee vs Dijokovic chapter 3 to start the show. The NXT crowd is super hot, singing Lee’s theme song to start the match, followed by Keith Lee chants.

Bask in his Glory

Fast Pace to start the match, and Keith Lee shoves Dijokovic to the outside with a big shoulder tackle, that draws some cheers from the NXT Universe.

A fun back and forth suplex attempt battle goes on, and is won by Lee as he delivers a headbutt out of nowhere, however, Dijokovic quickly strikes back with a choke slam onto the ring mat.

Match continues, and we get a great move by Lee, as he lands a corkscrew to the outside, and we get a classic “Mamma mia" from Mauro followed by a lot of NXT chants.

Back inside the ring, we have the 6"2, 340 lbs Keith Lee climbing to the top rope, and he delivers a moonsault onto Dijokovic, he goes for the pin, but can only get a 2 count.

Another Bask in his glory chant by the NXT Universe to show their approval.

A couple of seconds go by, and we get a Canadian destroyer off the top from from Dijokovic, and Lee kicks out at 2! More NXT chants!

Dijakovic follows up with a moonsault and once again Lee kicks out, but in astonishing fashion, he picks up Dijakovic in a power slam position, turns it into the fireman"s carry power slam, 1, 2, 3. Keith Lee wins!

What an incredible match, I love the feud between this two, such great in-ring chemistry.

This sets the score at 1-1-1 and it seems the NXT Universe will be getting one final match between this two.

Dakota Kai Returns to NXT

Dakota Kai comes out to the ring to make her return and she is facing none other than the latina herself Taynara Conti.

Taynara starts the match with a lot of aggression and kicks, but Dakota is able to counter with a fury of kicks of her own.

Kai connects the kick to the face, followed up by the GTK and gets the quick win.

Welcome back Dakota Kai, so good to have you back on NXT

Street Fight for the No 1 Contendership

NXT Universe starts to chant “bro" and here comes Matt Riddle.

The match starts hot, as both competitors exchange blows; You can feel the intensity between the two.

Riddle attempts to lock an arm bar, but Killian easily escapes.

Riddle starts to attack Dane with everything he"s got: Kicks, suplex, elbows, knees, but Dane comes back with a power bomb, followed up by an elbow drop, to get a 2 count.

Out of nowhere, Riddle lands an Alabama Slam! and here we go! Chairs are out!!

After a few chair shots, both start heading backstage, and both go crashing thru a wall, we immediately get some NXT chants.

After a commercial break, the original bro jumps off a bench and comes crashing down on Dane, thru a table!

Finally, they are back in the ring, Riddle hits a guillotine, but Dane kicks out at 2. Killian comes back with a running cross body out of nowhere, and sets Matt for a vader bomb! He connects with 3 Vader Bombs and covers Riddle but he kicks out at 2.

Dane hits a chair shot onto Riddle, and he now has a kendo stick, which he hits Matt with.

Dane proceeds to set up a chair on top of Riddle, Vader bomb attempt, but Riddle gets up, and hits Dane with the Chair, followed up by a massive power bomb!

Final Flash onto the chair, but Dane kicks out!!!!

Both Wrestlers are now exchanging blows, and out of nowhere, Riddle is able to counter one of Dane"s punches and lands de Fujiwara arm bar, this one is over, as Dane immediately taps.

Post-Match:

Adam Cole comes to the ring, cuts a quick promo “This is my property, this belongs to me, and you will never be in my league".

Riddle is not impressed, and quickly grabs Cole"s arm, and applies the Fujiwara arm bar! The NXT champ is tapping out!!

Rhea Ripley vs Kayden Carter

This is my brutality hits, and here comes Rhea! She is set to face Kayden Carter, who has not appeared on NXT in quite some time.

Kayden starts the match off very quickly and she connects a dropkick on Rhea, and is able to land some explosive strikes on her.

However, Rhea, quickly counters with a dropkick of her own, and takes control of the match.

Rhea delivers a delayed vertical suplex, 1..2… kick out!

Ripley is upset, and starts delivering elbow strikes to Carters head, but Kayden is able to roll her up out of nowhere, and we get a 1 count.

Hurricarrana by Carter, followed up by another rana, and some additional high flying moves, and Carter is able to get a 2 count on Rhea.

This upsets Ripley, and immediately connects with the Rip Ride, to finish the match.

I cannot wait for Rhea to go head to head with the NXT women"s champion. This is the match that the NXT Universe wants and needs!

Lorcan and Birch back on NXT

I really like Lorcan"s music, unfortunately, the NXT Universe only sings it when they are at NXT UK.

Anyway, the match itself is very slow, with Matt Martel and Chase Parker dominating most of it.

We finally get a hot tag to Birch, who starts cleaning house with right hands, uppercuts and headbutts.

Birch immediately starts pumping up, and this pumps Lorcan up as well, tag is made, wheelbarrow impact ddt, and this match is over!

Post match- We get a quick glance at the NXT Crowd, and Chelsea Green and NXT UK"s Deonna Purrazo are shown.

They will be great additions to the NXT Women"s division, no doubt about it.

Raul Mendoza the underdog

In a rematch from last week"s NXT, we get Raul Mendoza vs Cameron Grimes.

Once again, Grimes tries to end the match quickly, but Mendoza is able to avoid the double knee.

Lots of counters by Mendoza, and he is able to hit a hurricarana, and momentum is on his side. He follows up with a springboard, into a sidekick take over, and Grimes has to rake the eyes to get out of the submission.

Mendoza keeps fighting and delivers several high flying moves, but somehow Grimes is able to reverse a mid air cross body for a 2 count.

We get Mendoza chants from the NXT Universe after he connects an enziguri, which he follows up with a springboard drop kick, and Raul is pumped up.

Raul goes to the corner, measures Grimes but gets an elbow.

Cameron climbs to the top, but Raul connects with a cartwheel kick, and hits a frankensteiner for a near fall.

Out of nowhere, Grimes hits the knee stop, and this one is over.

Raul Mendoza really impressed the NXT Universe, and if given the opportunity can come a long way.

NXT Main Event: Who will Kushida tag with to face Imperium?

Kushida is set to face Walter"s generals in this match, and he has to pick two wrestlers from the back to help him out.

After Imperium comes out, lights go out, and Breezango"s music hits. The NXT Universe loves this.

Match begins, and Imperium immediately shows their aggressiveness and takes advantage of the match.

Lots of cheating and outside interference by Imperium throughout the match.

Several attempts from Breeze to make the tag, but Imperium keeps stopping him from doing so.

Breeze finally hits an enziguiri, and Fandango gets the hot tag! Lots of chops, followed by a Falcon Arrow on Aichner. Alexander Wolfe hits the ring, and Fandango lands a Tornado DDT.

Fandango clears the ring, and flies to the outside onto Imperium!

Kushida is now in the ring, springboard dropkick, and he has Barthel in an armbar! This brings everyone in the ring, and we have some chaos.

Handspring double heel kick by Kushida, followed up by a bridge on Barthel, 1…2…3.. Kushida and Breezango win!

Post- Match:

As Kushida is celebrating with the NXT Universe, Walter blindsides him with a kick to the face.

We get some Walter Chants, as Imperium stare Kushida down to end the show.

Once again, NXT keeps delivering. Love the two hour format, love the live T.V. opportunity, love everything about this brand.
