Although the new head coach, Todd McLellan made his debut at the first game on October 5th of the 2019-2020 season, the team still fell to the Edmonton Oilers 6-5.
I know you’re saying LA Kings and Anaheim Ducks in the same article? You must mean vs, right?
NO! You read that right! This article is about the LA Kings and the Anaheim Ducks separately because this journalist is going to bring both a small recap and analysis for both teams! I thought since they both share a border of the country and the same state, why not an article! Let’s begin…
Los Angeles Kings
The Kings had a rough start to the season finishing 1-2 on the road. However, the sword could still be pulled out of the stone on 10/12/19 when they play at home against the Nashville Predators.
Upcoming Los Angeles Kings Games:
Anaheim Ducks
The Ducks signed center Benoit—Olivier Groulx to a 3-year entry-level contract. The 19-year-old (2/06/00) played for the Halifax Moosehead of the QMJHL (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

That aside, we don’t have to, but I’m going to, talk a little bit about the game on 10/10/19 against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, the winning streak came to an end losing to the Penguins 2-1. The second period seemed to be good with Ondrej Kase scoring to tie the game just 30 seconds after Sidney Crosby scored.
But then, later on, during the third period, Crosby struck again passing the puck to Jake Guentzel. for the Pens lead. The Ducks pulled John Gibson for an extra attacker for the final 1:30, but never really got anything going. Their best chance with six skaters came when defenseman Brendan Guhle fired a shot on net from the boards that Jakob Silfverberg tipped wide.
