Week 7 Waiver Wire Adds are here to the rescue! I had to take a few weeks off due to my job, college, and personal things going on, but after four weeks, the article series has returned.
At this point of the season, bye weeks and injuries make it hard to bounce back some weeks, but I’m here to help you improve on that. There are still plenty of players to add through waivers or at the least keep your eyes on, especially with bye weeks.
Quarterback
Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills – 47.6%

Once again, Josh Allen is on the waiver wire adds. Allen is averaging 16.5 points per game (including the Patriots game in which he missed half of the game). Take that out, and he is averaging 18.5 points per game. On top of this, he faces a very weak and porous secondary schedule after his bye week.
Daniel Jones, New York Giants – 40.6%

Daniel Jones is in a similar boat as Josh Allen with his high rushing upside. He hasn’t looked pretty recently, but with Saquon Barkley and Evan Engram likely returning and possibly the return of Sterling Shepherd, he should do a lot better especially against a weak defense in the Arizona Cardinals. At least consider streaming him this week.
Others: Joe Flacco, Denver Broncos; Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings.
Runningback
Chase Edmonds, Arizona Cardinals – 22.6%

Edmonds is starting to be used more and more in this Arizona offense. David Johnson has been struggling with some injuries as well, and if he were to go down, Edmonds instantly becomes a top back. He is definitely worth consideration to add on your roster.
Darrell Henderson Jr., Los Angeles Rams – 23.2%

The Darrell Henderson hype is back! Both Henderson and Brown took over for the injured Gurley this week. Henderson looked much better and more explosive in his limited touches. Both runningbacks didn’t do much, but Henderson looked better. I’d expect Henderson’s role to grow. Even if Gurley comes back shortly, I’d expect Henderson’s role to grow especially in the passing game.
Others: Alexander Mattison, Minnesota Vikings; Mark Walton, Miami Dolphins; Latavius Murray, New Orleans Saints.
Wide Receiver
Dante Pettis, San Francisco 49ers – 26.2%

Dante Pettis is seeing his role slowly grow. He was second on the team in targets behind George Kittle despite only catching three passes. Eventually, this offense may need to throw the ball more, especially in games they are trailing. He could see his targets shoot up more and more.
Auden Tate, Cincinnati Bengals – 21.4%

Even if A.J. Green doesn’t get traded, it doesn’t seem like he is returning very soon. With John Ross on the IR, Auden Tate is the second wide receiver on an offense that throws a lot since they are losing a lot. He could easily get some garbage time yardage and touchdowns. If A.J. Green returns though, his value depletes.
Others: Jamison Crowder, New York Jets; Adam Humphries, Tennessee Titans; Cole Beasley, Buffalo Bills.
Tight End
Darren Fells, Houston Texans – 2.4%

Fells enjoyed an afternoon in which he received his season high in targets, catches, and yards. It seems Fells is separating himself from Jordan Akins as the main tight end in this offense. He would be a good bye week filler this week or replacement for an injured tight end.
Hunter Henry, Los Angeles Chargers – 54%

For some odd reason, Henry is only rostered in 54% of ESPN leagues. He caught eight passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to the Steelers. Now I know this is an obvious add, but I would highly recommend making sure he is on a team in your league. If not, add, add, add!
Others: Ricky Seals-Jones, Cleveland Browns; Chris Herndon, New York Jets.
