Michael Bennett Suspended One Game by Patriots

Michael Bennett is a veteran player amongst the young defensive ends on the New England roster. He has racked up 2.5 sacks in the past six games for New England.

Michael Bennett Suspended

Bennett got in an argument with his positional coach about him not getting enough playing time in the game against the Giants. Bennett only played eleven snaps in the game against the Giants. He was so furious that he complained to the coaching and staff about his playing time. This led to Bennett being suspended for the upcoming Thursday night game against the Jets because of the actions in practice.

Conclusion

So far this season, Bennett has had 130 snaps which only ranks him 16th for players defensively on the Patriots. He has also gotten only four solo tackles and this is low for an end of his caliber. If Bennett keeps complaining about his playing time, I would not be surprised if he gets cut soon.

Bennett is a huge part of the New England Patriots since he is a leader to the upcoming stars. If he does not find his place on the team soon he could be either traded or cut before the end of the season.

The New England Patriots have started the season with one of the most dominant defenses in the NFL. They have yet to play competition in the form of Kansas City"s level, but the defense has impressed nonetheless. Bennett will need to continue to work hard if he wants to remain a part of this potential record-breaking defensive unit.
