Raiders Trent Brown Sued for Domestic Violence

Raiders prize free agent Trent Brown has been sued for domestic violence. The lawsuit filed on behalf of Diorra Marzette-Sanders alleges Brown physically assaulted her on multiple occasions.

Marzette-Sanders said Brown “slapped [her] across the face leaving her mouth bloody and her face bruised," left her “bruised, bloodied and battered" on numerous occasions and told her he would “shoot [her] ass in the f–king head."

Per Pro Football Talk"s Mike Florio

Brown also has been accused of slapping Marzette-Sanders in the face in June 2019, which resulted in police being called and a police report.

Marzette-Sanders went on to say that Brown “grabbed her face and covered her mouth while choking her out until she couldn"t breathe" on March 2019 and “grabbed [her] arm, took her into a room, locked the door, slapped her across the face and punched her in the ribs" in April 2019 while vacationing in Hawaii.

The plaintiff is represented by Waukeen McCoy, a San Francisco lawyer who also is an NFLPA-certified contract advisor.

Brown was drafted out of Flordia in the seventh-round of the 2015 draft. He spent three years with the San Francisco 49ers. A trade to the New England Patriots allowed Brown to blossom into one of the top tackles in the NFL. After winning the Superbowl in New England, Brown became one of the hottest free agents on the market. Brown signed a 4-year $66 million contract with the Raiders. This signing made him the highest-paid tackle in NFL history.

Raiders questionable moves

The Raiders have already endured a tumultuous season brought on by trades and signings most questioned at the time. We have the Antonio Brown drama. Vontaze Burfict"s season-long suspension by the NFL. Finally, the Richie Incognito suspension. In each of these cases, the Raiders brass knew precisely who they were getting when they made a move. Whether they knew about Brown"s history or not, it adds one more name to a growing list.
