WWE Draft part 2: Raw review 10/14/19

• 

She cuts a promo about Sasha leaving, how they created a rivalry but now she is gone.

And somehow she can"t get rid of Charlotte, so hopefully the WWE Draft will do something about that.

The Queen"s music hits, and she comes to the ring with a mic.

" I am not selfish, I don"t really take opportunities away. I don"t even want to fight you, I just want to be friends again, I miss you!"

Boom! Punch from Charlotte to Becky, and it"s on, they both start exchanging fists.

The Refs are trying to separate them, but they are still going at each other.

And we have a match

Curious fact: Charlotte does NOT represent Smackdown at the moment, however, if she wins the match, Smackdown gets the first pick of the night.

Flair starts the match by driving her shoulder several times at Becky

The Man counters with a clothesline and slams Charlotte on the turnbuckle and kicks her around.

The ref separates her, and that allows Charlotte to punch and kick Becky!! The Man counters with an uppercut, and now we have a chop exchange!

Missed kick by Charlotte, and Becky splashes her in the corner, but Flair grabs her hair and slams her down.

Headlock face buster and Charlotte applies a submission hold.

Becky gets out, but Flair slows her momentum and keeps control of the match.

She goes for a pin, but Becky kicks out at 1, and connects a drop kick to send Flair down.

Charlotte counters with chops and starts slapping Becky around.

This fires up The champ, and she throws Flair to the outside, suicide dive! but she misses, and Charlotte throws her face first onto the post.

Commercial Break!

Back from break and Charlotte chops Becky to the mat, but the Man comes back with a clothesline and connects with several kicks and a top rope missile drop kick for a 2 count.

Uppercut by Becky, who goes off the ropes, tries a drop kick, but The Queen counters it into a Boston crab!!

Becky tries to get to the ropes, but Charlotte quickly switches the hold into the Figure Four.

However, Becky counters and throws Flair to the outside!

Back in the ring, the champ goes to the top rope, but misses a clothesline, and Natural Selection by Flair! 1,2, noo!

Charlotte now heads to the top rope, she tries a moonsault but Becky knocks her down!

She goes for the disarmer, but Flair sends her face first onto the turnbuckle, kick to the face, 1..2..kickout!

Figure four time, and Flair tries to lock it in, but Becky counters and sends her crashing onto the turnbuckle, she goes to the top rope, leg drop!!

1, 2, nooo!

Becky quickly goes for the disarmer, but Flair counters into a spear! She goes for the pin, 1, 2, kickout!

Charlotte is going mad, and while she tries to figure out how to beat Becky, the Man rolls her from behind, and lands Raw the 1st pick of tonight"s WWE Draft.

Post Match & Comments

What a match!

Becky and Charlotte always give their best, and even though we have seen them fight several times, they keep putting on wrestling clinics!

I can"t really see Charlotte going to Raw, as we have seen Becky vs Charlotte so many times

But then again, the future of the Women"s division will be defined tonight, as we get to see where Bayley, Charlotte, Carmella and others land.

We get a quick Seth Rollins promo, saying he will be going Fiend hunting tonight!

Round 1 of tonight"s WWE Draft:

Comments

Seth and Brock"s picks both make a lot of sense, as Fox specifically asked for Brock to be on Smackdown.

Charlotte going to Raw means we are going to get to see more Becky vs Charlotte matches.

Since Charlotte is now on Raw, Andrade had to go with her, so they get a huge addition.

I really want a Rollins vs Andrade program, so hopefully we will get one down the road.

All three members of The New Day are staying together and going to smackdown. I guess they are all smackdown favorites and the pick makes sense.

This would have been the opportunity to let Big E go solo, but New Day is a huge fan favorite and sells a lot of merchandise so, more pancakes please!

Andrade vs Ali

El idolo!

Raw"s newest addition is here, and he is set to fight Ali

Match starts and Ali immediately goes off the ropes and takes Andrade down with a hurricarana.

He follows up with a drop kick, and sends Cien Almas to the outside.

Ali tries to dive to the outside, but Zelina interferes, which allows Andrade to connect with a dropkick and take control of the match.

Andrade locks in a submission hold on Ali"s arm, and the ref breaks the count.

Kicks from Andrade to Ali, and a knee to the face, that gets a two count.

El idolo keeps working on the arm, and locks another submission hold, but now using the ropes.

Ali is in the corner, and Andrade tries a knee to the face, but he misses and goes crashing to the outside.

With this opportunity, Ali tries a suicide dive, but Zelina, once again interferes

However, Ali, still goes off the ropes and jumps OVER Zelina, onto Andrade!!!!!

Ali throws Andrade back in the ring, and the ref quickly goes to check on him.

This allows Zelina to interfere and hit Ali with a hurricarana!!

Andrade follows this up with the hammerlock DDT and this one is over!

Round 2 of the WWE Draft

To our luck, Rusev going to Raw means we are going to get some more Lashley and Lana segments. Please end this now!!

Side note: Lana seems to “cheat" on Rusev a lot, first with Ziggler, then the angle with Aiden, and now Lashley.

Why would you “stay married" with someone like that?

Bayley to Smackdown creates a very confusing storyline! Will Sasha turn face and go against Bayley? or what"s going to happen?

With Zelina going to Raw, Black was an easy pick for Raw, and they seem to be winning the WWE Draft.

Viking Raiders vs Ziggler & Roode

• 

The bell rings and Erik immediately takes out Ziggler with a double knee and then throws Roode outside, and Ivar suicide dives onto him!

Back in the ring, Erik powebombs Ziggler, Ivar heads to the top, splash! 1,2, Roode makes the save.

The distraction allows Dolph to take control of the match, and he lands the zig zag as we go to commercial

Commercial break

Back from break, Ziggler has Erik in a submission move, he is about to power out but Dolph grabs his beard, and tags in Roode.

Robert lands a kick and several chops on Erik in the corner, he dropkicks his knees and tags in Ziggler.

Dolph starts mocking Erik, who gets pumped up and knocks Ziggler out with a right hand.

Tag!! and Ivar is in cleaning house

Slam and body drop on Ziggler, he is pumped up, and knocks Roode down from the corner.

Ziggler tries to counter, but cartwheel by Ivar and a clothesline on Ziggler.

Ivar tags in Erik.. Viking experience!!! We have ne…

Superkick by Ziggler! and he takes them out

Roode off the distraction and rolls up Erik for a two count.

ZigZag spine buster by Ziggler, 1..2.. nooo!

Dolph is now measuring for the super kick, but it is caught!

Thumb to the eye, fameasser! 1..2.. no!

Tag to Roode, who quickly hits the Glorious DDT!! This match is ov… no!! pin broken up by Ivar!

Ziggler is back in, they try a double team, but Erik counters and tags in Ivar

He does a flip off the ropes and takes both of the tag team champions down!

Ivar tags in Erik, Viking Experience!!!

I hope they split Ziggler and Robert and let them go their separate ways

We get a promo by the new champions " We are the first team to be undefeated in WWE History and win the IDGO, ROH, NXT, and RAW Tag Team titles!

Interesting to see a Ring of Honor name drop! It"s probably nothing, but we will see

Round 3 of the WWE Draft

Some interesting picks on round 3.

We know Paul Heyman loves Cedric, so he had to stay on Raw, could have a big future ahead of him

I would have loved to see Nakamura go to Raw and join the O.C. I guess that won"t happen.

Sami Zayn goes with Nakamura, so that potential feud might still be a possibility.

Humberto Carrillo goes from 205 to Raw, he is a high flyer with a lot of potential. We suddenly have a lot of mexican talent on Raw.

Could a mexican faction be on the horizon?

Finally, it looks like the months and months of building a feud between Roman and Rowen is officially over. This move made no sense!

Aleister Black vs Eric Young

• 

Eric Young is set to take on Aleister Black (So good to see Young back in the.. oh wait.. he is going to job isn"t he?)

Young starts the match strong, but Black quickly counters with a leg sweep, and knocks him to the outside.

Moonsault off the ropes, black mass! But Young ducks and rolls to the outside

Back in the ring, Black lands another kick, sends Eric to the corner, who sidesteps him, but..

Out of nowhere, Aleister locks in a submission hold, and Eric Young has no choice but to tap out

Round 4 of the WWE Draft

• Smackdown Selects: Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler

• Smackdown Selects: Carmella
• Raw Selects: R-Truth

Wow! Did not see them splitting up Carmella and R-Truth! I guess it is time for Carmella to go back to wrestling

The Jinder Mahal pick makes no sense on round 4, when you have the option to draft The Miz, King Corbin, Samoa Joe, Rey Mysterio, AOP, Heavy Machinery and Sonya Deville.

I guess Raw needs people to job to Aleister Black, Andrade, Rowan, Rusev and Lashley

Ricochet vs Shelton Benjamin

• 

Shelton Benjamin (So good to see him wrestle) vs Ricochet

Bell sounds and they both match up, Ricochet with a drop kick and a headscissor to start the match.

He tries to connect with a right hand, but Shelton avoids it and lands a suplex.

Benjamin then sends Ricochet off the ropes and drops him face first onto the mat.

He locks in a submission hold on the One and Only

The crowd starts to hype Ricochet up, who manages to get out of the hold, and starts connecting lefts and right, but Benjamin counters with a kick to the face

Another submission hold by Shelton, and Ricochet tries to get out, but is quickly slammed down

Out of nowhere, Ricochet connects with a reverse kick, and both men are down!

The resident superhero is up first and he slams Benjamin on the turnbuckle, enziguri and is now heading to the top and connects with a clothesline.

Ricochet with a standing shooting start press but Shelton kicks out

He is now heading to the top rope, but Benjamin is back on his feet, and tosses Ricochet down!

But somehow, Ricochet lands on his feet, connects the Recoil, and this match is over!

Post-Match & Comments

We get another Lana and Lashley segment: NEXT!!

Tyson and Braun are in the ring to sign their Crown Jewel contract

Braun: " You are stepping into my world, I will pick you up and slam you in the middle of that ring"

“And I will give you your first lost ever and you will GET THESE HANDS!"

Tyson: “I have always been a fan of you, I was with my family to see you on Smackdown, but now, I have no choice but to knock you out"

WWE Draft Round 5:

Wow, did not see Shelton Benjamin getting drafted, good for him!

Joe goes to Raw and we are getting a lot of star power in that brand!

You would think Smackdown on Fox would be the star loaded brand, but Raw is getting all the talent.

Buddy Murphy vs Cedric Alexander

• 

Match starts and both competitors lock up, and they each work on arm submissions.

Several counters later, and we hit a stalemate.

Cedric offers to shake hands, but Murphy declines and lands an elbow to the face.

He then throws Alexander head first on the second turnbuckle!

Chop by Buddy, kick, and he throws Alexander to the outside.

Commercial break

Back from commercial, Cedric is trying to come back, but gets hits with a knee to the face, and is knocked outside

Murphy flies over the top rope onto Alexander!!

He puts Cedric back in the ring, goes to the top rope, and knees to the face, but can only get a two count.

Buddy sets Cedric head first on the 2nd turnbuckle, and tries to run into him, but Alexander counters with a forearm.

Murphy rolls to the outside, which allows Alexander to suicide dive onto him!!

He then sends Buddy back in the ring, and connects with a springboard flatliner, 1,2, noo!

Cedric is trying to strike with the lumber check, but Buddy holds him with a headlock, and connects with a power bomb for a two count.

Back on his feet, Buddy hits Murphy"s law, and this match is over!

What a fun match!

This two should go at it again! If given the time, this could be a show stealer

Another Mexican wrestler goes to Raw. Like I said, they could have an interesting stable if they wanted to.

Chad Gable to Smackdown allows them to keep displaying his talents and push him for a mid-card title.

Liv Morgan is the exciting choice, Paul Heyman once said that you could do a whole show around her.

I hope we get to see something with her on Raw, very excited about this pick.

Out comes Natalya, and she says that her partner is Lacey Evans (They just fought for an entire month, oh well).

Commercial break

Back from break and Kairi Sane is in control, and she slaps Evans, who counters with a couple of takedowns and a from face ddt.

Evans off the ropes and kicks Kairi to the outside. Sane follows and connects with a neck breaker

She goes back inside to distract the ref, and Asuka tosses Lacey to the barricade.

Back in the ring, Kairi locks in a headlock that she later turns into a guillotine in the middle of the ring!

Evans powers out, connects a couple of right hands, but Kairi hits a right hand of her own, and tags in Asuka.

She immediately goes to the top rope and tomahawk chops Evans elbow!

Several kicks to the face from Asuka and she applies a submission move on Lacey.

Lacey sidesteps Asuka and is able to tag in Nattie

Natalya with a clothesline and a suplex on Asuka, and she takes out Kairi with a right hand

Sharpshooter attempt, but Asuka counters into a heel hook submission!

Somehow, Natalya powers out of it, hosts Asuka up and rollers her up for a 2 count.

Nattie goes for the sharpshooter again, and locks it! But Kairi comes inside and takes Natalya out with a bulldog

Commercial break

Back from break and Asuka has Natalya in a submission hold, but she powers out and hits a drop kick

She starts crawling towards her corner to tag in Lacey, but Asuka quickly locks an arm submission.

Natalya is about to tap, but she counters into a pin attempt.

This upsets Asuka who starts stomping Natalya in front of Lacey and applies the submission hold once more.

Natalya rolls out and hits a right hand, she is trying to tag in Lacey, but Asuka takes her out.

Asuka tags in Sane and they hit a double suplex on Natalya, but can only get a two count.

The sky princess locks in a guillotine, but Nattie counters into a suplex and is able to tag in Evans

Lacey takes out Sane and Asuka! she is fired up

She sends Sane to the corner and hits an elbow on her for a two count. Evans climbs to the top rope, but Asuka hits her and Sane knocks her down.

Sane goes to the top rope and hits a stomp on Evans, but Nattie saves her.

Kairi has Lacey in the corner, and hits a running fist, she goes to the top rope, but Asuka blind tags.

Sane tries to hit the elbow but Lacey avoids it and connects with the Women"s right.

From behind, Asuka comes in and rolls her up, and the champions retain

Post Match & Comments

We are immediately shown a Fire Fly Fun House segment and Bray admits to seeing Seth Rollins: Yowie Wowie!

Ramblin rabbit comes out and tells Bray that Seth is coming to the house

Bray replies back that nothing can happen to them, as HE will protect them.

Out of nowhere, Seth attacks Bray! and is going mad!

He starts taking the house apart, and keeps attacking Bray

• 

Seth, gets that look in his eyes, and screams “Burn it down".

He takes out a lighter, and sets the table on fire and burns the house down

The segment ends with the Fiend laughing as we all watch the firefly fun house burn to the ground.

What a segment! The Fiend is bringing evil Seth back, and I can"t understand why they are splitting them apart.

Will Crown Jewel be their final encounter? Or will The Fiend win the title and immediately move to Raw?
