NFL Power Rankings: Patriots and 49ers holding Strong

We end week seven the same way we did week six at the top of the NFL Power Rankings. The Patriots and 49ers holding strong in the top spots. Sean Payton still using his bayou voodoo without Drew Brees. And finally, Aaron Rodgers continues to do Aaron Rodgers things for the Packers.

Power Ten

1. New England Patriots(7-0) – The Patriots cruise to 7-0 while half their division play for the number one pick. If I told you a team opened the season with a 42-year-old QB would you think they were 7-0?

2. San Francisco 49ers(6-0) – Once again, Jimmy Garoppolo has a deal with the crossroads demon. If anyone can give me a more plausible reason, I am all ears.

3. New Orleans Saints(6-1) – Sean Payton has been the best coach in the NFL. Now 5-0 with Drew Brees on the mend. Just incredible.

4. Green Bay Packers(6-1) – Aaron Rodgers has 429 yards and five touchdowns. I bet the Raiders saw this Sunday.

5. Buffalo Bills (5-1) – The Bills decided to do what everyone has done this season. Beat the Dolphins. Josh Allen was majestic again BillsMafia.

6. Kansas City Chiefs(5-2) – The Chiefs get a big win to get to 5-2. Now they must figure out how to win without their cheat code.

7. Indianapolis Colts(4-2) – The Colts come off the bye and take down the Texans. All Colts fans should send an apology letter to Jacoby Brissett. He has been great.

8. Carolina Panthers(4-2) – Panthers get a bye and get to move up a bit. Cam Newton will not be staring as of yet.

9. Seattle Seahawks(5-2) – MVP Russell Wilson took the day off and the Seahawks lose to the Ravens.

10. Minnesota Vikings(5-2) – Kirk Cousins just needed to apologize to his wide receivers and things got better. The Vikings sneak into the power ten.

Middle of the Pack

11. Baltimore Ravens(5-2) – The Ravens were gifted the worst performance of the year by Russell Wilson.

12. Houston Texans(4-3) – I will let my friend and fellow Overtime Heroics Texans writer Lachard Binkley tell you.

13. Los Angeles Rams(4-3) – The cure for looking awful three games in a row? Play the Falcons.

14. Arizona Cardinals(3-3-1) – I don’t think even Vegas saw this one coming. Kliff Kingsbury has a better NFL winning percentage than he had in college.

15. Chicago Bears(3-3) – The Bears vaunted defense needs to be vaunted again. Eddie Jackson sees it.

16. Detroit Lions(2-3-1) – The Lions continue to battle each week but came up short again. They also lost about 75% of the starters to injury.

17. Oakland Raiders(3-3) – The Raiders were on the receiving end of Aaron Rodgers being Aaron Rodgers. Received a good old butt-kicking.

18. Dallas Cowboys(4-3) – Jerry PLEASE!!!! Fire Jason Garrett before Dak and the rest of this team are in complete ruin. This will be on here until they fire Garrett or he wins a Super…sorry started laughing too hard.

19. Jacksonville Jaguars(3-4) – Leonard Fournette and Gardner Minshew are the future of Jags football after beating up the defenseless Bengals.

20. Tennessee Titans(3-4) – Ryan Tannehill steps into the starting quarterback spot and beats the sinking Chargers. He must be the answer.

21. Philadelphia Eagles(3-4) – Carson Wentz can put up pretty numbers, but can he win? Foles did.

Fading Fast

22. Cleveland Browns(2-4) – Welp, it was fun while it lasted…Trent Williams, you say? Patriots after the bye, I see 2-5 in their future.

23. Pittsburgh Steelers(2-4) – The Steelers get the Dolphins this week. So back to the middle of the pack nest week? They also will likely get Mason Rudolph back.

24. Tampa Bay Buccaneers(2-4) – How do you bounce back from five picks? I am guessing playing a top-five defense this week will not be a big help.

Race for #1

25. Los Angeles Chargers(2-5) – Who the heck lost the Chargers? This team went 12-4 last year. Is Anthony Lynn on the hot seat?

26. Denver Broncos(2-5) – Elway trades Emmanuel Sanders but still has no answers on getting back to the top. Should the Broncos finally move on from him?

27. NY Giants(2-5) – Even with Saquon Barkley back the Giants lose. Will Pat Shurmur and Dave Gettleman get another year?

28. New York Jets(1-5) – The Jets lost to the Patriots. What else is new. So has eveyone else. Is Sam Darnold 15? First mono and now ghosts.

29. Atlanta Falcons(1-6) – How in the heck is Dan Quinn not afraid of losing his job. This thing is a trainwreck.

30. Washington Redskins(1-6) – Time to play the string out. Good luck Bill Callahan.

31. Cincinnati Bengals(0-7) – Currently neck and neck with the Dolphins for that Number One pick.

32. Miami Dolphins(0-6) – See above and replace Dolphins with Bengals.
