Where Can Mohamed Sanu Fit on the New England Patriots?

Mohamed Sanu was recently traded from the Falcons to the Patriots this Tuesday, October 22. He is a great addition to the Patriots and this is how he will fit onto the team.

The Trade

The Patriots have had an interest in Mohamed Sanu since the 2016 free agency. He is a skilled veteran receiver in the NFL and it is exactly what New England wants in a receiver. He was traded from the Falcons for a 2nd round pick from New England. The addition of Sanu will help boost a team that was already the best in the NFL.

Mohamed Sanu is a veteran receiver who has had a lot of experience in the NFL since he is now 30 years old. So far this season, Sanu has racked up 313 receiving yards, 33 receptions, and one touchdown. The Patriots will most likely put Sanu and a healthy Josh Gordon on the outside. This lets Julian Edelman play slot a lot more and allows him to get a mismatch with the linebacker. With the addition of Sanu, who will opposing teams guard: Sanu, Edelman, Gordon, James White?

Conclusion

The New England Patriots just became an even better team than what they just were. Just as it said on the Heard “The AFC is over”. With the edition of Sanu, the Patriots may have just made the push to win the Super Bowl even more promising. Mohamed Sanu is exactly what a New England Patriots receiver is and everyone in New England is more than happy to have him on the roster.
