Breaking News: Stephen Strasburg Opts Out

Strasburg, not only had one of the greatest postseasons for a pitcher in MLB history, but was awarded Most Valuable Player after Game 7 of the World Series. In the postseason, Strasburg went 5-0 with a 1.98 ERA. The Nationals long time ace earned the MVP award by recording 47 strikeouts in only 36.1 innings.

Stephen Strasburg appeared in 33 games in the regular season for the Nationals. He went 18-6 with a 3.32 ERA. In 209 Innings pitched, he recorded 251 strikeouts.

Whether Strasburg decides to renegotiate his contract with Washington or take his talents elsewhere, he will undoubtedly become a top target for the majority of the league.In the light of Strasburg’s first chance at free agency, he should see a considerably massive payday.
