At this point in the season, you won’t find stars on the waiver wire, but you will find solid bye week fill-ins and good, streamable quarterbacks. There is no one here on this list that you should go all out for on the waivers, but there are some guys here that can help you out during the bye weeks.
Coming off Bye Week: Atlanta Falcons, Cincinnati Bengals, Los Angeles Rams, New Orleans Saints.
Week 10 Bye Week: Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins.
QB Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee Titans – 8%
He’s now on here for three straight weeks and rightfully so. Tannehill hasn’t looked the prettiest on the statline, but he has gotten more than 19 fantasy points per game every week for the past three weeks. Those past three weeks, Tannehill outperformed red-hot Kirk Cousins, Josh Allen and Gardner Minshew making him a top five fantasy quarterback in those three weeks. Next, he takes on Kansas City who are the eighth worst against fantasy quarterbacks.
Other Quarterbacks to Consider:
- Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers – 33.5%
- Ryan Fitzpatrick, Miami Dolphins – 4.4%
- Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders – 37.3%
RB Ronald Jones, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 37.8%
Ronald Jones has been extremely hit-or-miss as a runningback this season. One week, Jones receives 19 carries and gets 15.2 fantasy points. The next, Jones touches the ball 11 times and the week after four. Head Coach Bruce Arians said today that Ronald Jones has finally earned the chance to start since he has been the more explosive back and will play more now. He is at least worth an add and stash especially after a solid outing against Seattle.
Other Runningbacks to Consider:
- Derrius Guice, Washington Redskins – 32.6%
- J.D. McKissic, Detriot Lions – 5.8%
- Trey Edmunds, Pittsburgh Steelers – 1.5%
WR DeVante Parker, Miami Dolphins – 22.8%
Another common player on my lists of players to add, Parker is once again on here. Parker now has four touchdowns in the last five games with four of those games he also had at least 50 receiving yards. With Preston Williams being announced as out for the season, Parker’s value goes up immensely. He is probably one of the best players to add this week.
Other Wide Receivers to Consider:
- Zach Pascal, Indianapolis Colts – 6.6%
- Hunter Renfrow, Oakland Raiders – 2.9%
- Diontae Johnson, Pittsburgh Steelers – 17.9%
TE Mike Gesicki, Miami Dolphins – 2.3%
Another player that can take advantage of the Preston Williams injury is Mike Gesicki. Gesicki caught six passes for 95 yards in their win over the New York Jets. If Gesicki can build on this, he could be a late Tight End sleeper that could help your team throughout the playoffs.
Other Tight Ends to Consider:
- Jacob Hollister, Seattle Seahawks – 0.4%
- Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings – 25.7%
- Ryan Griffin, New York Jets – 1.6%
D/ST Indianapolis Colts – 37.4%
Four solid weeks of at least eight points now for the colts, they should be a priority add if one of your defenses is on bye week. Next they face the Dolphins who still gave the New York Jets six fantasy points even though they won.
Other D/ST to Consider:
- New Orleans Saints – 73.5% (People may have dropped them during bye week
- Baltimore Ravens – 33.6%
- New York Giants – 2.6%
