Raw Review 11/04/19

Brock Lesnar is here on Raw

• 

After quitting Smackdown, it seems Lesnar is ready to take out Rey Mysterio on Raw.

Paul Heyman " A few weeks ago, Raw traded Alexa and Nikki to Smackdown for future considerations"

“Brock Lesnar has a no cut contract, so he will switch brands if he wants to"

“The beast is special and he is entitled to do whatever he wants to do"

“Someone here knows where Rey Mysterio is, so where is he?"

“Would you like for Lesnar to come over the rail and slap everyone in the audience?"

“There is nobody in this coliseum that is man enough to slap Brock Lesnar back"

“Tonight is the funeral of Rey Mysterio"s career!!"

Post Promo

Brock Lesnar is backstage taking out guys, asking if they have seen Rey Mysterio?

One of them tells him that Rey is in a car and Brock almost rips out the door, but Mysterio is not inside.

The Raw Women"s tag team champions are here

The Kabuki Warriors will take on Charlotte and Natalya (I guess they are a team now)

Bell rings and Nattie and Sane are starting the match, they lock up and we get a couple of counters and reversals.

Natalya spins Sane around and slams her down for a quick count, and Kairi tags in Asuka

Quick takedown by Nattie who locks in a leg submission, but it is reversed into an ankle lock

but Natalya rolls out, kicks Asuka and tags in the Queen, who slams down the Empress of tomorrow

Charlotte tries to connect an exploder suplex, but Asuka is resisting, Sane comes in to help

But misses a clothesline, and Natalya is now in, kick to Kairi and we get a double suplex!

Commercial Break

Back from break and Asuka has Natalya in a headlock, but she gets out and they

Start going off the ropes trying to take each other out. Natalya knocks Asuka down, and

• 

Quickly goes for the sharpshooter, but Asuka rolls to the outside

Natalya chases after her, and Asuka connects with a huge kick to the face to knock her down

Back in the ring, and Asuka locks in an arm submission

Nattie tries to fight out, but gets slammed down, and a tag is made to Sane

Double team by the Kabuki Warriors!

and they kick Natalya down, Sane quickly follows up with a submission hold

The Raw crowd tries to fire up Nattie who gets out of the hold, but is knocked back down by a dropkick, for a two count.

Kairi starts to showboat a bit, and Charlotte tries to land a right hand

With the distraction, Natalya rolls Sane up for a quick two count and tags in the queen.

Clothesline to Sane, and a huge kick to Asuka by Charlotte, and here come the chops

Fallaway slam! and the queen is fired up! Backbreaker and natural selection

1, 2, and Asuka makes the save

• 

Charlotte rolls to the outside and takes out Asuka with a forearm, and throws her back in the ring

Huge kick to the face and Asuka is also down

Flair to the top rope, moonsault! double pin! 1, 2, nooo

Commercial break

Charlotte is trying to make the tag, but Kairi is able to stop her

In the corner, Sane is kicking the queen down, and goes for a forearm but is met with a huge kick

and the tag is made, Natalya with a russian leg sweep and a clothesline on Asuka

• 

German suplex! and Nattie is going for the sharpshooter, but Asuka rolls her into an arm bar

Natalya is trying to roll through, and she counters into the sharpshooter!

Sane comes in with a codebreaker to make the save, but Charlotte takes her out with a spear

Asuka from behind goes for the Asuka lock, but Natalya counters into the sharpshooter

And she taps, this one is over

Paul Heyman and Brock are back, and they are demanding to know where Rey Mysterio is

• 

They go to the announcer table and threaten Jerry Lawler, but Dio Madden stands up to him

This backfires, as he gets an F5 on the table!

Out of nowhere, Rey Mysterio comes out with a baseball bat, and he is taking out Lesnar

He now has the championship belt and knocks Lesnar down!

Referee"s quickly come out to put a stop to the attack.

Commercial Break

We come back from break and Rey Mysterio is backstage cutting a promo

“An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth"

• 

In spanish " fuego contra fuego"

“I am coming for what"s the most important thing to you, the WWE Championship"

“Are you man enough at Survivor Series to come after me?"

I really hope this is one last title run for Mysterio before he hangs it up

Cedric Alexander vs Buddy Murphy

• 

Both competitors are already in the ring and they lock up

Takedown by Murphy who goes off the ropes and Cedric takes him out with a dropkick

Buddy falls to the outside, but he takes Cedric with him and starts chopping away

He tries one last chop but Cedric ducks and he hits the ring post!

Back in the ring, Murphy creates a quick distraction that allows him to connect with a kick

He follows up by sending Cedric shoulder first into the ring post for a one count

• 

Submission hold by Murphy, but as Cedric is about to get out, Buddy slams his arm down

Buddy is now focusing on Cedric"s arm and locks in a submission hold

Alexander is back on his feet, and gets out of the hold, and throws a huge forearm

Chops and strikes combo by Cedric, who follows with a back elbow and the neuralizer, that sends Buddy to the outside

Suicide Dive and an over the top rope flip onto Buddy!

Back in the ring, springboard flatliner, 1, 2, nooo

Cedric is now going to the third rope, but is caught, Murphy"s Law attempt

Counter into a Michinoku Driver, 1, 2, nooo

Alexander tries another neuralizar, but he is met by a kick from Murphy

Murphy"s Law, and this one is over!

Post Match & Comments

This was a great match, but I just kept waiting for Brock Lesnar or NXT to interfere.

I would really enjoy a good feud between Cedric and Murphy, that leads to a high profile match

Seth Rollins comes down to the ring

• 

“So what is next for Seth Rollins?"

“Everything that I have done over the last year, is all gone!"

“Brock Lesnar is champion again, and it"s all a wash"

“However, I don"t know if I have the energy to do it again"

“For the first time in a long time, I don"t know what"s next"

Time to play the game!!!!

HHH is now coming down to the ring, will he try to recruit Seth to NXT?

Before Seth can make a decision, The O.C."s music hits!

They go after the Undisputed Era who hop over the guard rail

From behind Dijakovic and Priest take out The O.C.

and here comes the Raw locker room!

Seth Rollins is standing in the ring, with a puzzled look in his face, and he leaves the ring.

Backstage, Seth tells HHH he will only go to NXT as the top guy, and asks for a title match against Adam Cole tonight!

Oh my!!! That is going to be incredible!

Mixed tag team match on Raw

• 

I called it last week didn"t I? Andrade and Vega vs Sin Cara and Carolina

Bell rings and Andrade goes after Sin Cara with strikes and knees

Off the ropes, but Sin Cara throws Andrade to the outside, and Carolina throws herself onto el Idolo

Commercial Break

Both competitors are down, but Andrade is back on his feet first and chops Sin Cara down

Andrade sets up Sin Cara on the top rope and is going for a superplex attempt, but

counter by Sin Cara and he lands a super power bomb, and the tag is made

Carolina goes after Zelina with some dropkicks, and a high cross-body!

She hosts Vega on her shoulders, but Zelina rakes the eyes and lands an enziguri

Vega tries a reverse roll up move, but Carolina plants her with a slam in the middle of the ring

1, 2, Andrade makes the save, but Sin Cara throws him to the outside

• 

Off the ropes, but Zelina interferes, she tries to kick Sin Cara, who catches her foot, and

Sends her directly onto Carolina, who hits a widow"s peak variant!

Sin Cara flys over the top rope and takes out Andrade

Zelina tries a hurricarrana but is caught mid-air, Carolina tries to power bomb her on the turnbuckle

Counter by Vega, and a basement rana, and this match is over!

Wow, I did not see that coming, I thought Carolina would come out on top

I hope Carolina gets signed by WWE, she showed some good skills and could have a good future

Oh no, Lashley/Rusev segment is next

Rusev comes down to the ring on Raw

• 

Can this storyline bring back Rusev Day? A lot of people are starting to chant it

Rusev: “Lashley, you can have Lana, she is all yours, but your @$$ is mine!"

Lashley"s music hits, and he is on crutches, with Lana (Here we go)

“I am not medically cleared to fight tonight, I tore my groin over the weekend"

“I tore it, doing things and performing in ways that you could only fantasize about"

This is getting worse by the second, ridiculous!

Lana: “Today is your lucky day Rusev, we have found someone special to fight you"

Drew McIntyre"s music hits

• 

Thank you Drew, for saving us from this promo/segment

Match starts and we get a Rusev Day chant, but immediate headbutt by Drew shuts down the crowd

Lefts, rights and kicks by McIntyre, and Rusev is down

Off the ropes, and a counter clothesline by Rusev, and he is now striking Drew with rights, lefts and kicks of his own

McIntyre counters with a kick and he has Rusev down in the corner and starts choking him with his boot

Knockdown by Drew and he continues to attack Rusev with strikes and kicks

Chop by Drew, but a fallaway slam counter by Rusev!

Commercial Break

Back from break and Rusev is in a submission hold, but he is able to power out

Right hand chops by Rusev, who goes off the ropes, but gets caught in a spine buster by Drew.

McIntyre starts talking trash to Rusev, who gets fired up and takes him out with a clothesline

Elbow, clotheslines and a splash by Rusev, and he lands a spinning heel kick

Rusev is fired up, he goes for the Mashka kick, but Drew counters and sets him up on the top rope

Counter by Rusev, but both competitors are down after they both try a cross-body and collide on each other

Back on their feet, they start to exchange punches and chops, out of nowhere,

Rusev with a huge kick that sends McIntyre to the outside

On the outside, Rusev starts to slam Drew on the steel steps, and here comes Lashley

He takes Rusev out with his crutches and the match is over

Lashley is taking out Rusev, but he fights back with right hands!

Rusev sends Lashley face first into the ring post and has a mad look on his face

He has the crutch, but out of nowhere, RKO!

Randy Orton checks on Lashley as Lana laughs on the outside.

Lashley and Randy are now working on Rusev and…

Here comes Ricochet! He takes out Lashley and counters an RKO with an enziguri

He drop kicks Lashley, who lands on top of Lana!

A lot of Team Hogan vs Team Flair references were made to describe what just happened

As long as there is wrestling and no talking, I can try and watch this storyline.

No more soap opera please!

Interview with the Man

• 

They talk about a triple threat match at Survivor Series, Becky vs Bayley vs Shayna

Wow, now that is a match I would love to see!

Yes! Shayna comes in and interrupts the interview, we have a stare down!

Shayna " Hello Becky, I"ve been waiting a long time to meet you face to face"

“You know, I am friends with Ronda, we train together, and you beat her at Wrestlemania"

“I want to make something very clear, I am not Ronda, and at Survivor Series"

“I am going to pin you or tap you out! And the only thing that you have to think about"

• 

“Is which one of your limbs, will belong to me"

Becky: “I don"t know you, but going to war with me will change you, and I am coming for you"

“And I will show you, who the real Baddest Women on the planet is!"

This is going to be a Survivor Series for the ages! Wow!

On a side note, the three participants of this match are, or have been members of NXT

Just throwing that out there!

The Street Profits team up with Humberto Carrillo on Raw

• 

Back from commercial break and A.J. is chopping on Carrillo in the corner

Sends him to the turnbuckle, but Carrillo gets on the top rope and hits a plancha on A.J.

Tag to Dawkins who attacks the arm of A.J. and locks in a submission hold

But Styles grabs the ropes to break it up, uses the ref as distraction and tags in Anderson

Karl with a couple of uppercuts on Dawkins and locks in a headlock, but Angelo gets out

Goes off the ropes and dropkicks Anderson, and tags in Ford

Montez off the ropes and connects with a dropkick, and Angelo with a splash for a two count

Arm submission by Ford, but a knee counter by Anderson to get out of the hold

Huge uppercut by Anderson that knocks Ford to the outside! He distracts the ref and

Gallows takes Ford out with a clothesline! Tag to A.J.

• 

Styles uses the ropes to his advantage to distract the ref, and Gallows with a big boot on Ford

Montez counters and delivers a huge dropkick and is about to make the tag but Anderson comes in

But he gets a dropkick, and before Ford can make the tag, Anderson comes in and takes him out

Commercial Break

Back from break and Anderson has Ford in a submission head lock, but Montez is able to get out

However, a tag was made to Anderson who keeps Montez from tagging out,

Counter, huge neck breaker by Ford! This is his opportunity and tag to Carrillo! A.J. is also in!

Carrillo takes Styles out with a dropkick and is fired up

Backflip moonsault for a two count!

Top rope enziguri by Carrillo and he is going to the top rope, MOONSAULT!

1, 2, and Anderson makes the save, and now everyone is in the ring: Chaos!

Anderson and Gallows are on the outside, and Montez flies over the top rope and lands on them

In the ring, we have A.J. and Carrillo, Phenomenal Forearm attempt, but counter by Carrillo

but Styles counters back with a power bomb, he has his feet on the ropes, and this match is over

I am really enjoying this feud, everyone in that ring has so much talent and their matches have been fun

This will probably keep going for a while, and I"m fine with it

The Raw Tag Team Champions are here!

It"s probably not going to happen again, but let"s cross our fingers for the AOP showing up!

Oh my! It has been announced that at Survivor Series we are going to get:

Viking Raiders vs Undisputed Era vs The Revival, this looks like the PPV of the year

Who says NXT does not create stars? All members of this match have been or currently are a part of it

Ha, here we go, more jobbers! Today we get the East Hampton Polo Boys.

Match starts and Eric takes both of them out, and both EHPB roll to the outside

Ivar slams one of them on the barricade, and connects with a huge cross-body

Back in the ring, power bomb by Eric, tag to Ivar, who hits a splash, and this match is over!

Promo by the Viking Raiders on The O.C. winning the Best Tag Team Match at Crown Jewel

Mixed feelings on this, as I do want The O.C. in the title picture, but I am

Enjoying their current feud with the Street Profits and I do want

Viking Raiders vs AOP to happen soon

Raw Main Event: NXT Championship Match

Here we go, another dream match is next! Seth Rollins vs Adam Cole

Back to back high profile matches for Cole, good for him!

Here we go, bell rings and both competitors lock up, arm submission by Rollins

Counter by Cole, but that is countered again by Seth and is broken up by the ropes

Lock up and Cole has Rollins in the corner, he taps him in his chest, and Seth gets upset

Takedown, right hands by Rollins and he clotheslines Cole to the outside, and dives onto him

Back in the ring, Rollins going for a bucklebomb, but is countered by Cole

But a counter by Rollins, he tries going for the curb stomp, but Cole rolls to the outside

Commercial Break

Back from break and Cole has Rollins in a submission hold, but he powers out

But gets a huge kick to the face by Cole, he goes for the pin, but can only get a two count

Cole starts slapping Rollins around and talking trash, and we have a strike exchange

Seth comes out on top and hits an enziguri, but Cole counters with one of his own

• 

Big forearm by Rollins, and Cole tries to counter with a kick, but it is caught

And a huge super kick by Seth, that gets a two count!

Cole is sent to the corner by Seth, who charges at him, but is sent to the outside

Rollins holds on, and tries a move over the top rope but Cole lands a huge super kick

1, 2, nooo

Cole is now on the top rope, panama sunrise attempt, but Seth counters into a buckle bomb

The NXT Champ rolls to the outside, and Rollins connects with two suicide dives!

Rollins tries the falcon arrow, but it is countered with a neckbreaker for a two count

Cole is asking for Seth to get up, he goes off the ropes and a huge kick to the face for another two count

The knee brace is off, Cole goes for the last shot, but a counter by Rollins

Double clothesline, and both competitors are down!

Cole is up first and he is headed to the top rope, but counter by Rollins

Superplex and Falcon Arrow! 1, 2, noo

Rollins is calling for the curbstone, but Roderick interferes, and this one is over via DQ

Chaos in the ring and on the outside as well

Ricochet dives to the outside and takes everyone out!

After everyone is trying to get back up, Keith Lee dives over the top rope and takes everyone out

Raw goes off the air!

This NXT invasion is making everything fun, now if we can only get Smackdown invading Raw and vice versa.

Good show, with an excellent opening match and main event!
