The Ravens destroyed the Patriots 37 – 20 on Sunday Night Football. The Patriots made three main mistakes against the Ravens on Sunday Night Football.
The Three Mistakes the Patriots made in the game against the Ravens
Patriots Getting Run Over
The Ravens began the game in a pistol formation and just ran over New England. Mark Ingram was averaging 7.7 rushing yards per rush. The Patriots’ defense looked rushed, and they could not come off blocks and make tackles on the running backs of the Ravens. Lamar Jackson was able to pass and run that game. Lamar Jackson rushed for 61 yards and two touchdowns against the Patriots. To add to that, Gus Edwards rushed in for a touchdown.

Too Many Mistakes
The Patriots would have momentum in the game and then just lose it after a drive. The Ravens had a defensive fumble return for a touchdown, and that had New England scared and losing momentum. At the beginning of the game, when the Ravens caught the Patriots going offsides and it cost New England a touchdown. That game was way too many early mistakes and penalties for New England, which caught them big in the game.

Look Flat on Offense
The Patriots looked flat most of the game on offense, which is a result of them not scoring as many points as they usually do. Tom Brady only threw one touchdown and one interception. The offense overall was not driving down the field as well as they do most games. It also did not help that David Andrews, the starting center, was out for the game as well. Julian Edelman and Mohamed Sanu had decent games, but every other receiver was disappointing. Phillip Dorsett only had two receptions for thirteen yards. Overall the offense was not the offense we have seen all season, and I expect more going further into the season.
