The Cleveland Browns waived wide receiver Antonio Callaway on Thursday, shortly before their matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Antonio Callaway Waived by Cleveland Browns
The former fourth-rounder out of Florida arrived late to the game against the Buffalo Bills. As a result, Callaway was benched missing his fifth game of the season. The first four games he missed were because of a suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
Antonio Callaway dropped to the fourth round in 2018 because of issues off the field. Because of these issues, Callaway missed his entire senior season at Florida due to a suspension.
Corresponding Callaway’s release, the Browns reinstated offensive lineman Drew Forbes from Injured Reserve. The rookie sixth-round pick injured his knee late in the preseason.
