My strategy during any given week is usually to pay up for the high-volume workhorse backs who are involved in the passing game. In order to do that, I try to find low-price value plays at the other positions, especially wide receiver.

Below you’ll see some players I might spend up for based on their volume, consistency and/or matchup. On the contrary, you’ll find some low priced, value plays that should get an opportunity on the field as well as give you some leverage in terms of ownership. What I look for when selecting my plays of the week are Volume, Consistency, Matchup, Value, and Opportunity.
Quarterbacks

Play of the Slate:
Kyle Allen vs. ATL – $7,200
– In what should be a juicy matchup for fantasy, Kyle Allen is a sneaky play this week for his price. He can also be stacked with his offensive weapons as well as Atlanta players on the other side of the ball to get yourself heavily involved in this matchup.
Other Top plays at the Position:
Lamar Jackson vs. HOU – $8,800
Dak Prescott @ DET – $8,100
Josh Allen @ MIA – $7,200
Runningbacks

Play of the Slate:
Christian McCaffrey vs. ATL – $10,500
One might ask at what price does McCaffrey become too expensive… My answer is there isn’t a price. McCaffrey has been a cheat code for fantasy this year as he averages 24.9 FFPG in half PPR. Don’t overthink it and get him into your lineups against Atlanta who struggles against pass-catching runningbacks.
Other Top Plays at the Position:
Josh Jacobs vs. CIN – $8,000
Leonard Fournette @ IND – $7,200
Devin Singletary @ MIA – $6,500
Brian Hill @ CAR – $5,900
Wide Receivers

Play of the Slate:
DJ Moore vs. ATL – $6,000
Moore has been flying under the radar and is having himself a quiet breakout season. He in on pace for 96 catches and 1,216 yards. He has had at least eight targets in the last five games but hasn’t recorded a touchdown in that span. Look for him to try and end that streak at home against Atlanta who has been getting torched by wide receivers this season.
Other Top Plays at the Position:
Michael Thomas @ TB – $9,000
John Brown @ MIA – $5,900
Mohamed Sanu @ PHI – $5,800
Deebo Samuel vs. ARI – $5,600
Demaryius Thomas @ WAS – $5,200
Tight Ends

Play of the Slate:
Zach Ertz vs. NE – $6,200
Ertz is my play of the slate this week for two reasons: His price in relation to other tight ends on the slate and his likely low ownership due to the matchup against New England. If there’s a weak spot in the New England defense, its defending two tight end sets. Look for Ertz and Goedert to be heavily involved in this game.
Other Top Plays at the Position:
Mark Andrews vs. HOU – $6,900
Jared Cook @ TB – $6,000
Ryan Griffin @ WAS – $4,800
Defense/Special Teams

Play of the Slate:
New York Jets @ WAS – $4,500
If you want to save a few bucks by not paying up for a top defense and maybe find lower ownership for your defense, I think the Gregg Williams run Jets defense is a good spot to go. The solid rush defense of the Jets will likely force rookie Dwayne Haskins to throw more than he might like.
Other Top Plays at the Position:
Oakland Raiders @ CIN – $5,000
Minnesota Vikings vs. DEN – $4,700
Carolina Panthers vs. ATL – $3,700
Good Luck in Week 11 and be sure to look for the Week 12 edition next week!
