Ok So It’s Not What I Predicted

What is happing to Brady that we don’t know about? During my preview of the game, I kept saying that the Pats would dominate the game and have a similar score to the Superbowl. (the other way around of course) But that is NOT what happened. It’s shouldn’t have had taken Julian Edelman to throw the pass to score one touchdown. I mean I love Edelman, he’s an incredible player, but he’s not our QB. It a good thing that they have a strong defense this year because I believe that they are carrying them and the reason why we are 9-1.

Ok, it’s NOT what I predicted, but I am glad that the Patriots won. But I thought that the score would have been much higher. Tom Brady threw for 216 yards, leading New England (9-1) back from a 10-0 deficit. Even though it was Julian Edelman, the Patriots’ gritty wide receiver, who found a target in the end zone. It was the first time in Brady’s career that another player on his team had more TD passes when he played the entire game.

So my question is this:

Bill NOT Acting Like Bill

Head Coach Bill Belichick even stated a compliment about Edelman. “Good read on the play,” Belichick said. “Keeps his quarterback rating up there pretty high. I’m sure he’ll ice his shoulder this week, massage it. Great play by Julian.” UMM since when does Bill say things like that. Normally we can expect him to say something like “We played well in all three phases of the game and now we’re moving on to next week.” One article even said that Julian Edelman’s touchdown toss had Bill Belichick flashing a slight smile and cracking some jokes. Smiling? Bill? Has there been apocalypse?

Fascinating Side Note:

Five out of six Boston reporters wrote articles on the Patriot’s D. The other one reported about Brady and the offense and how it can be improved for next week.

On to the next

A win is a win and that’s really all that matters now. Pats will move on to play Dallas at home. Hopefully, Brady and the offense will have the kinks worked out. The Dallas Cowboys are 6 -4 coming into to Foxboro with their last game being a win 35-27 over the Lions.

Gronk is Getting Our Attention

Along with the TD pass that Edleman did. Rob Gronkowski has announced that he will be making a big announcement on Tuesday. The tight end jokingly said that “the Dallas Cowboys, could use a tight end like myself.”

Interesting comment that I really hope he was only joking about. If Gronk decides to come back to playing, I hope he comes back to New England. Fingers crossed.
