An impressive week had Miami take down some of the best the Eastern Conference has to offer. With wins over the Pacers and 76ers , The Heat had an impressive home stand. ESPN even had Miami as the second best team in the league in their weekly power rankings. Heat rookie Tyler Herro also continued to make a case for ROTY. We will preview the weekly schuedle for the Heat and tell you everything you need to know.
Washington Wizards
The Heat go on the road to face a banged up Wizards Team. The Wizards will be without All-Star shooting guard Bradley Beal who averages just under 28 points a game. Expect the Heat to continue taking care of business in commanding fashion. Justise Winslow has already been ruled out for the game due to a bone bruise in his back. This is the first of four games this week as tipoff is at 7 from our nations capital.
Toronto Raptors
The Heat then return home Thursday night to take on the reigning Nba Champs. The raptors have also battled the injury bug as of late missing star Pascal Siakam, Marc Gasol, and Norman Powell. Despite the injuries they are still a solid team with Kyle Lowry and Fred Vanvleet leading the way. Miami got the better of them in their first matchup in Toronto. Expect this to be a hard fault, close battle as these two teams always keep it close.
Orlando Magic
Miami finally gets to see their interstate rivals on Friday night. It’s the second night of a back to back so I would monitor this game closely. Orlando is a team that may give Miami a lot of trouble because of their size and length especially in the front court. The Magic are a very balenced team that turn to a number of contributors every night. I expect this to be the hardest game of the week, The Magic aren’t a team too take lightly especially at home.
Portland Trailblazers
The Trailblazers come into town Sunday night to end the week. Our old friend Hassan Whiteside returns to Miami for the first since being traded back in July. I expect Hassan to be highly motivated as his relationship with the Heat seemed to sour over the last couple of years. The Blazers also have an amazing backcourt with Lillard and McCollum who score the ball at ease. Portland started their season off rough but slowly have strated to turn things around. Expect another close hard fought game to end the home stand.
Predictions
I have Miami winning three of the four games this week. They should take care of business against Washington and Toronto who both aren’t at full strength. I have a bad feeling about the Magic game. It has trap game written all over it, all though Miami’s only bad loss all year has been to the Grizzlies. Sunday should also be a close game but I believe they squeak out a win against Portland and end the week sitting comfortably second place in the east.
