From now until March 15th, Captain Zdeno Chara and the Boston Bruins will be working with the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and the Cradles to Crayons along with DCF Wonderfund. Two non-profits organizations that ensure positive living conditions for children. The 13th Annual “PJ Drive” will benefit Massachusetts’ youth in need. The PJ Drive provides new, unused pajamas to babies, children, and teens in communities across Massachusetts.
Boston Bruins 13th Annual PJ Drive
Former Boston Bruins’ player P.J. Axelsson and his wife Siw created the drive during the 2007-2008 season. Since then, over 120,000 Massachusetts children have received PJ’s through the Bruins PJ drive.
Here’s How You Can Help This Drive
The Boston Bruins will be hosting an in-game PJ collection on Saturday, February 15 during the Boston Bruins vs. Detroit Red Wings game at 1:00 p.m. at TD Garden. Fans that donate PJs or $10 will be entered in a raffle to win Bruins autographed prizes. PJs have to be new and unused to be donated.
In Addition, There Are Other Ways to Help
If you are unable to attend the Bruins game on February 15 but would still like to contribute, PJs can be dropped off to a participating library. Participating libraries can be found HERE.
