Andre Iguodala Trade Grades:

Receive: Andre Iguodala, Solomon Hill, Jae Crowder

Grade: B

Getting Iguodala, while moving on from James Johnson’s contract are definitely beneficial for Miami. Iggy has playoff experience, and brings another veteran presence to the locker room next to Jimmy Butler.

Dion Waiters and Miami had to go separate ways as he had been suspended on three occassions this season. However, losing Winslow may hurt as he has shown potential in years past. Iguodala is exptected to sign a contract-extension with Miami. 

Memphis Grizzlies

Receive: Justise Winslow, Dion Waiters, Gorgui Dieng

Great deal! This team basically lost nothing as Iggy wasn’t going to play for them anyways. Solomon Hill and Jae Crowder are both solid veterans, but it’s worth getting rid of them. 

Dion Waiters was bound to leave Miami, and the Grizzlies took a flier on him. When on the court, he’s shown he can be valuable, but he has to stay out of trouble off the court. Justise Winslow is still only 23, and has shown flashes of potential, especially as a ball-handler. Taking on Gorgui Dieng’s contract is the only negative in this deal for Memphis. Overall, it’s low-risk high-reward for a young team.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Receive: James Johnson

This trade doesn’t do much in the short-term for the struggling Minnesota timberwolves. However, taking Gorgui Dieng’s contract off the table will help go after someone in a lackluster free agency class this summer. This organization is a dumpster fire right now, but getting D’Angelo Russell will make them interesting.
