Los Angeles Clippers:
Marcus Morris Sr. Trade Grades
Receive: Marcus Morris Sr., Isaiah Thomas
Grade: C+
I don’t think there’s ever been a trade like this where I didn’t like the deal for any of three teams involved. While Marcus Morris is a great scorer, he’s a defensive liability. That will put a lot of pressure on Kawhi Leonard and Paul George as Lou Williams is also a defensive liability. Not to mention they also gave up their
On the plus side, the Clippers were able to keep all their young assets except for Jerome Robinson. Robinson hasn’t shown much in his NBA career, and keeping Landry Shamet was big win for this team. Isaiah Thomas may not play significant minutes, but he does provide a nice scoring plug off the bench for the Clippers.
Washington Wizards:
Receive: Jerome Robinson
Isaiah Thomas wasn’t very valuable for the Wizards, but Jerome Robinson doesn’t bring much to the table either. Despite being the 13th pick in the draft last year, he had his role replaced by 26th overall pick, Landry Shamet. This trade doesn’t change much for Washington overall.

New York Knicks
Receive: Moe Harkless, 2020 Clippers First
As for the Knicks, I was surprised that they didn’t get any young players. Harkless is a solid player, but doesn’t have much of a high ceiling. The 2020 Clippers first is interesting, but won’t be a lottery pick. Trading Marcus Morris was the right move, but the Knicks likely could have gotten more out of him.
