Brady Could Have an Offer From Patriots

Tom Brady is the most celebrated quarterback of this era. He has won seven championships alongside legendary head coach Bill Belichick as their dominance has stretched over two decades. We could spend all day talking about the stats, accolades, and accomplishments, but this article is about where Brady should finish his career.

Tom Brady got hit with viral tweets.

As everyone knows by now, the Los Vegas Raiders are pushing for Brady with a considerable offer. Larry Fitzgerald Sr., a sports media pioneer, reported that the Raiders are ready to offer Tom Brady $60 million over two years.

This looks like a great deal on paper but there could be a more lucrative deal.

The Patriots should make a deal.

The best way to end a fabulous career is to stay with the organization that gave you that career. There is a way to keep Tom Brady in New England which would benefit both parties.

Chad Forbes an NFL insider tweeted this on Thursday after the news came out about the Raiders proposal.

Basically, this deal revolves around saving cap space. A two-year deal would end up killing the cap space, which would be $30 million a year. With a lengthier deal, the guaranteed money would help save cap space in the first year. Once released after two seasons, Brady will bank $20 million more than the Raiders offer.

Chad Forbes had this to say because the cap savings needed to be clarified.

Tom is playing 2 more years from what his Agent Don Yee has told everyone. That even Tom doesn’t think it’s doable at 45. Though “Tom will never say never.” The idea is rather than giving him 2 Yrs $60M where the first year cap hit would be $22.825M by the rules of the final league year you would give him 5 years where the first year cap hit can be $10M.

This looks like a better deal for both sides. Now the question is will the league approve the structure of this deal.
