Dion Waiters Signs With The Lakers

According to reports, Dion Waiters has agreed to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. This news comes after a reportedly impressive workout with the team a day prior.

Free agent Dion Waiters has agreed on a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers for the remainder of the season, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

The Grizzlies had cut Waiters after he was part of the Andre Iguodala trade. Dion Waiters had been in the news for the wrong reasons all year long, due to behavioral issues. The Lakers are willing to take this risk as if Waiters can keep his head on straight, he can be very helpful.

The Lakers hope the addition of Waiters will provide an extra playmaking and scoring threat. Outside of Lebron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers have struggled to find another consistent scoring option. Waiters adds a scoring and playmaking option to hopefully give the Lakers the final piece to their championship puzzle.
