Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans agree to the Franchise Tag

Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans have agreed to the Franchise tag for the 2020 season. They will have until July 15th to come to a long term deal. If not, Derrick Henry will make around 11 Million dollars this year. The Tennessee Titans have made a smart move by franchising the running back who led the NFL in rushing last year with 1,540 yards to go along with his 16 rushing touchdowns. The shelf life for running backs in today’s league is not what it used to be. It’s been devalued so much that the idea of giving a running back a second contract is almost nonexistent.

The former Alabama star is 26 years old and stands at 6’3 and 247 pounds that no one in their right mind would want to tackle. To go along with a rising star in AJ Brown, the Tennessee Titans have a bright future ahead of them.
