Jason Pierre-Paul Re-Signs With Bucs

The former two-time Pro-Bowl pass rusher, Jason Pierre-Paul, will be back with Tampa Bay on a two-year deal worth $27 million. Pierre-Paul has 79.5 career sacks with 8.5 coming in 2019, despite missing six games.

Tampa Bay’s defense has been much better under coordinator Todd Bowles. The front seven has been the key to their success on that side of the ball. Bringing back Jason Pierre-Paul and tagging Shaq Barrett eliminate the priority need of pass rusher for the Buccaneers.

Tampa Bay can now focus on signing a quarterback or addressing the position in the draft. The secondary is also a likely target in the next several days.

The defense is looking strong for 2020 and another addition or two and the Buccaneers could become a legitimate title contender.
