Re-Drafting for the Chicago Bears

What I Would Have Done

Actual Pick: Cole Kmet, tight end, Notre Dame.

My Pick: Josh Jones, offensive tackle, Houston. Jones would have been the perfect fit for the Bears. He was a left tackle at Houston but could play either guard spot as well. I like Kmet, but the chance to upgrade at the offensive line spot would have been too hard to pass up.

Actual Pick: Jaylon Johnson, cornerback, Utah.

My Pick: Trevon Diggs, cornerback, Alabama. Same position, but I was able to get the corner that was one spot above Johnson on my positional rankings. Trevon is a little bit rawer than Johnson but has a more significant upside. Diggs is a former wide receiver at Alabama that switched to cornerback. So he is new to the position but has the ball skills of a wide receiver, which will help him thrive in the defensive backfield.

Actual Pick: Trevis Gibson, defensive end, Tulsa.

My Pick: Nick Harris, center, Washington.

Actual Pick: Kindle Victor, cornerback, Georgia Southern.

My Pick: Donovan Peoples-Jones, wide receiver, Michigan.

Actual Pick: Darnell Mooney, wide receiver, Tulane

My Pick: Derrek Tuszka, edge, North Dakota St.

Actual Pick: Arlington Hambright, guard, Colorado.

My Pick: Javaris Davis, cornerback, Auburn.

Actual Pick: Lachavious Simmons, offensive tackle, Tennessee St.

My Pick: Thaddeus Moss, tight end, LSU.
