The “Six” has multiple meanings for the team. The Six join the team as the sixth team in the league. They’re joining the NWHL in time for Season Six. And, of course, Toronto is dubbed “The 6ix” by Toronto-born rapper Drake. It’s a name that stands for the 6 boroughs that form Toronto (Old Toronto, Scarborough, East York, North York, Etobicoke and York), and some have interpreted it as a nod to two of Toronto’s area codes, 416 and 647.

The logo looks great too, as you can see above. It incorporates the T for Toronto, the 6 in the 6ix, and Canada’s signature maple leaf.
It also signals that the Six will wear the black, gold, and red.
All in all, get hyped folks, the Toronto Six have arrived, and with an already impressive lineup, they’re looking for the top of the league.
