The Miami Dolphins have had some of the most interesting running backs in the NFL. Some were cheap deals that turned into superstars, some were late-round picks, and some were in the last years of there career. Here are the top five running backs in the 2010 decade.
Number 5: Ronnie Brown (2010)
In the decade, Ronnie Brown played for the Miami Dolphins in 2010. He was near the end of his NFL career, at 29 years old, but still produced at a high level. In his 2010 season with the Dolphins, Brown rushed for five touchdowns, 200 rushing attempts for 734 rushing yards. In his 2010 season, Brown played 16 games and started 16 games for the Miami Dolphins, the first time in his career. Brown averaged 3.7 yards per rushing attempt in his last season with the Dolphins, which is decent for an NFL running back. Also, Brown received 33 receptions, 242 receiving yards, but zero touchdowns. Overall, in 2010, Brown was a major part of the Dolphins offense, even though he was at the end of his career.
Number 4: Kenyan Drake (2016 – 2019)
The Miami Dolphins drafted Kenyan Drake with the 73rd overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Drake proved to be a non-factor in his first season with the Dolphins but began to mold into a strong running back. In three and a half seasons with the Dolphins, Drake rushed for 333 rushing attempts, 1,532 rushing attempts, and nine touchdowns. Drake started 16 games for the Dolphins over three and a half seasons but was a major contributor on the offensive side of the ball. Drake averaged 4.6 yards per rushing attempt for the Dolphins, which for a running back is amazing. Also, Drake received 116 receptions, 936 receiving yards, and six touchdowns. Overall, Drake proved to be a contributor on the ground and in the air for the Miami Dolphins offense.

Number 3: Jay Ajayi (2015 – 2017)
The Miami Dolphins drafted Jay Ajayi in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. After a couple of seasons with the team, they soon learned he was a steal in the fifth round of the draft. Ajayi had one phenomenal season with the Dolphins, but all of his other seasons were average. In this decade, Ajayi rushed for 447 rushing attempts, 1,924 rushing yards, and nine touchdowns. Ajayi is the only running back in the 2010 decade to make a pro bowl for the Miami Dolphins. Also, Ajayi received 48 receptions, 308 receiving yards, but zero touchdowns. Ajayi is consistent for rushing yards per attempt at 4.3. Overall, Ajayi had one amazing season for the Dolphins were he got a pro bowl but fell off the map after that season.

Number 2: Lamar Miller (2012 – 2015)
The Miami Dolphins drafted Lamar Miller in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Miller started 48 out of the 61 games he played for the Dolphins in the 2010 decade. In his first season with the Dolphins, Miller was not a major contributor to the Dolphins. After that, Miller was the starting running back for the Dolphins for the next three seasons. In his four seasons with the Dolphins, Miller rushed for 638 rushing attempts, 2,930 rushing yards, and 19 rushing touchdowns. Also, Miller averaged 4.6 yards per attempt as a running back for the Dolphins, which is one of the best in the decade for the Dolphins. Miller also received 117 receptions, 887 receiving yards, and three touchdowns for the Dolphins. Overall, Miller was a true running back for the Dolphins but was not much of a receiving back for the team.

Number 1: Reggie Bush (2011 – 2012)
Reggie Bush signed a two-year deal, worth $10 million, which is similar to the signing of Jordan Howard. During his career with the Dolphins, Bush hit the prime of his career and capitalized on his opportunity. In his two seasons with the Dolphins, Bush rushed for 443 rushing attempts, 2,072 rushing yards, and 12 touchdowns. Bush played 31 games for the Dolphins and started 31 games for the Dolphins. In the 2010 – 2011 season Bush averaged 4.7 yards per attempt, which is the highest out of any starting running back for the Miami Dolphins in the 2010 decade. Also, Bush received 78 receptions, 588 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns. Overall, Bush was an amazing running back for the Dolphins for the two years and a cheap deal he was signed for.
