It appears that Glory kickboxing is in some trouble. As of this week, Glory has gone into receivership. As of this moment in time bankruptcy hasn’t been announced, but things don’t look good for the Dutch kickboxing outfit. Glory Managing Director of Sports Cor Hemmers has been fired. In addition, news broke that the organization had to close its office in the Netherlands. In May, it was announced by Glory that Marshall Zelaznik had resigned from his role as Chief Executive Officer. So with this being said, although everyone at Overtime Heroics MMA hopes that Glory manages to find a way through these tough times. I am going to take a look at potential landing spots for their top stars if they do in fact lose their battle.
Alex Pereira

We start off with the Middleweight Champion, Brazilian Alex Pereira. With a kickboxing record of 40-6-0 and an MMA record of 2-1-0, Pereira has the door open for a shot at an MMA career as well as continuing his kickboxing legacy, 29 of Pereira’ 40 wins have come via ko, and his record boasts not just two wins over UFC superstar Israel Adesanya, but he is the only man to knock him out, other notable victories coming over Ertugrul Bayrak and Yousri Belgouri, this man’s striking talent is something scary, that most will be looking to avoid, which makes it difficult to overlook a mouthwatering 3rd fight against Adesanya, and matchups with the likes of Romero and Till makes for some stand-up wars.
Prediction : UFC
Longshot : ONE Championship
Badr Hari

What can be said of this man? Badr Hari’s life has been a story that films are made from. Born on December 8, 1984, in Amsterdam, the Netherlands to Moroccan parents who had left their homeland in search of a better life. His heart and determination took him from the streets of Amsterdam to the bright lights of Tokyo, Japan, and beyond.
Badr has faced the toughest heavyweight kickboxers the world has seen the likes of Overeem, Saki, and Verhoeven twice. Badr is not one to avoid the big fights, although it could be argued his toughest opponent has been himself. We have seen him driven to darkness, with several high profile incidents inside and outside of the ring. With a talent as Badr’s, he will be a name at the top of many lists, with a record of 106-14 with 92 ko victories.
Prediction:Rizin
Longshot: WLC World Lethwei Championship
Cedric Doumbe

Cédric Doumbé is a Cameroonian-French kickboxer. He competes in the welterweight division and is the current Glory welterweight champion. He holds victories over legends of kickboxing Murthel Groenhart and Nieky Holzken. In addition, he has a very impressive kickboxing record of 73-7-1 with 41 wins via KO. Cedric has a very aggressive high-pressure style of Fighting. This makes him an absolute nightmare to defend against this one is probably the most straightforward location for me.
Prediction: ONE Championship
Longshot:Bellator
Rico Verhoeven

I have left perhaps the highest-profile fighter to last. He is dubbed the King of Kickboxing. Rico is the stand out superstar of the sport, with a current kickboxing record of 56-10 and an MMA record at 1-0, Rico who trains out of AKA again has the potential to explore both avenues. While he is a legend in the making of kickboxing he has expressed his desire to compete more at MMA while on the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast. With victories over names such as Zimmerman, Silva, Ben Saddik, and Hari twice. Rico has defeated the top names of his generation
The only stumbling block for me stopping Rico from joining a company the size of UFC would be he usually only fights once per year if not longer he has various interests outside of the fight world such as his fitness app, and a desire to make it in Hollywood after some small movie roles most notably Kickboxer Retaliation with Alan Moussi, the future will all come down to what it is Rico wants to do next, the simple fact is wherever the 6 foot 5, 18 stone wrecking machine will cause havoc wherever that may be.
Prediction: ONE Championship
Longshot: UFC
