Frankie Edgar answers whether or not He should stay at 135

This fight marked Frankie Edgar’s debut into the bantamweight division and none other than Pedro Munhoz welcomed Edgar. However, the question that needed to be answered was answered by none other than “The Answer” himself. The bout was a back and forth war from the get-go with Edgar appearing to be able to land solid combinations then maneuvering out of harm’s way as Munhoz loaded up a Powershot while stinging Edgar’s leg with leg kicks. The remainder of the bout followed the same pattern. Edgar was able to circle around Munhoz and even took Munhoz down in the 2nd. In rounds, 3-5 Munhoz was still eager to headhunt Edgar with heavy shots as Edgar responded back with slick movement and fast combinations. This bout was close and a difficult bout to judge as Edgar got the Split Decision win with the judges scoring the bout 48-47 x 2 and 46-49. This win ended Edgars’ 2 fight losing streak and extended the losing streak of Munhoz to 2. What’s next for the Bantamweights?
