For all the Padawans, Jedis, and Sith Lords alike, happy Star Wars Day! Check out some of our Miami Heat as Star Wars characters!
In this article, I’ll be comparing some of our team to Star Wars characters. I hope you’re as excited about this segment as I am! May The Force Be With You… and the Heat as the playoffs are approaching.
Miami Heat as Star Wars Characters:
Jimmy Butler
Obi-Wan Kenobi
One of the undisputed leaders of the Jedi Order, Obi-Wan Kenobi shares a striking resemblance to the Heat’s leader, Jimmy Butler. Both calm, cool, and collected under pressure, Butler and Obi-Wan want to bring balance to a system based upon stacked odds. Can Butler be the leader the rest of the universe needs?
Bam Adebayo
Anakin Skywalker
From a young age, everybody sees his potential and the power he possesses. Growing up under the training of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin shows spurts of greatness, similar to Bam Adebayo learning from Jimmy Butler. Adebayo and Butler share a very close relationship just as Anakin and Obi-Wan. Will Bam fulfill the prophesy of bringing balance to the force?
Tyler Herro
Boba Fett
A multidimensional individual with the power to snipe from long-range or adjust to a close-range attack, Tyler Herro is a clone of the Kaminoan bounty hunter. Herro is a misunderstood spitfire focused on dominating when the time is right, just like the legendary bounty hunter, Boba Fett.
Duncan Robinson
Han Solo
Moving on to a not-so-multidimensional talent, the best shooter in the galaxy! Han Solo isn’t a super-powered, lightsaber wielding character; however, he is quite the marksman. In fact, one could go as far as saying he’s the best. Duncan Robinson recently became the fastest player to reach 500 career threes in only 152 games. They can’t do it all, but what they can do, they’re the best at.

Udonis Haslem
Chewbacca
LOYAL TO THE SOIL. That’s all I have to say about Udonis Haslem and Chewbacca. From start to finish, Haslem and Chewy have been there for the ones that need them. There is nothing that says “Heat” or “Star Wars” like Haslem and Chewbacca.
Pat Riley
Yoda
Since the start of time, Yoda has been serving the galaxy, just as Pat Riley has been serving the Heat. Both wise, old individuals centered on bringing peace to the Republic, Yoda and Pat were a match made in heaven. Plus, they even look alike:

Just For Kicks, Dwyane Wade
Luke Skywalker
Need I say more? The original Jedi. The one who the stories are always about. Dwyane Wade was always “the one,” and just like Luke Skywalker, even though he was lost for many, many years, he found his way back home. Exactly where he belonged all along. Thank you, Dwyane, for being our organization’s hero.
