Tottenham prepared to offer Harry Kane record deal to stop Bayern Munich transfer

Harry Kane, one of the best players in Europe, has been subject of speculation about his future with Tottenham. However, the English team is ready to offer a record £400,000-a-week deal to try to keep him in North London and fend off interest from Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga champions, have submitted two offers for Harry Kane, who is also the captain of the England team. However, the deal hasn’t moved forward, as Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has no intention of selling the player this summer.

Looking for a stimulus, Spurs are willing to offer Kane £400,000-a-week deal, a club record, according to TalkSPORT.

But the club’s situation is what makes Kane reluctant to agree to the deal. The striker understands that Spurs don’t actually have a chance to compete for trophies next season – which, for him, is more important than financial gain.

Kane is due to meet his boss Ange Postecoglou in his return to pre-season. “I haven’t had any assurances and I wouldn’t expect any assurances, because when you’re dealing with these kinds of things you’re never dealing with definites or certainties,” Postecoglou, hired last month as a replacement for Antonio Conte, said.

Bayern, on the other hand, believe that Kane is open to a move to the Bundesliga and are hopeful of, eventually, striking up a deal with Tottenham.
