Manchester United are on the verge of making Andre Onana their second signing of the summer transfer window, bringing the goalkeeper from Italian Serie A club Inter Milan.
The Cameroon international will arrive as a replacement for David De Gea, who recently left the club on the expiry of his contract. Manchester United is now on the verge of landing the star after agreeing a deal believed to be worth of £42million ($55M).
According to Corriere dello Sport, United apparently threatened Inter during talks. The team made it clear, if Inter didn’t negotiate to a lower amount, they would walk away from negotiations.

Inter initially wanted £51m for Onana, who joined from Ajax on a free transfer last year. Then, they dropped their asking price to around £47m instead.
But United have now been able to acquire Onana for lower than even that amount.
