Watch: Lionel Messi adds two more goals as soccer superstar continues dream start

Lionel Messi was, again, on his full Inter Miami debut, scoring two goals and providing an assist against Atlanta United on Tuesday.

The club had not won in 11 MLS games, a run dating back to May, as Messi made his debut last weekend. Now, his two appearances have come in the Leagues Cup, a competition that pits MLS sides against Liga MX outfits.

Within 22 minutes he had two goals. The Argentinian scored both with his right foot, tapping in a rebound after hitting the post for the opener before sliding home a cutback for the second.

Robert Taylor made it 3-0 before half-time, adding a fourth strike after Messi slipped him through 53 minutes in.

“He can do everything on the ball. He can keep it in tight spaces, and he makes the right decision 100% of the time,” said Taylor.

“Most of the time he’ll find one of his team-mates. He brings so much quality to the team, so much. I mean, he’s the best player in the world”, added.

Messi, who is a seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, only trained with his team-mates for the first time last week after moving to the Major League Soccer side following the end of his contract at Paris St-Germain.
