Who is the narrator of Hard Knocks 2023: All about the voice behind the popular NFL show

The veteran actor Liev Schreiber, who made his Hollywood debut in the early 1990s, is also known for his role as narrator for the popular HBO show, “Hard Knocks”.

Schreiber made his on-camera debut on Tuesday, with Aaron Rodgers, Sauce Gardner and the other Jets in the show’s season debut. Hall of Famers, former NFL head coaches and even a member of the Wu-Tang Clan have showed up to one of New York’s first practices of the offseason.

The actor, however, stole the show in Episode 1, being recognized as the famous voice of the NFL offseason.

Who is the voice of 'Hard Knocks'?

After enjoying his career in Hollywood, starring alongside such dignitaries as Ben Affleck, Denzel Washington and Meryl Streep, Schreiber’s voice has earned such distinction.

Schreiber made his first on-camera appearance for the NFL offseason show, thrilling Rodgers as he watched the Jets’ practice in training camp. Multiple times in the episode, the four-time NFL MVP was seen calling Schreiber “the voice of God”.

In many ways, Schreiber is the embodiment of HBO’s sporting universe. He has soundtracked numerous projects on the network, including “24/7,” “The Broad Street Bullies” and, obviously, “Hard Knocks.”
