Collin Morikawa, the talented young golfer, has shown promising abilities in his games. At the Rocket Mortgage, his T2 finish has significantly boosted his chances of making it to the Team USA Ryder Cup Squad.
The impressive golfer made his pro debut in 2019 at RBC Canadian Open. He tied for 14th place.

Morikawa has five PGA Tour wins under his name and two majors to his name, the 2021 Open Championship and the 2020 PGA Championship.
In January 2023, the Sentry Tournament of Champions was held. Morikawa had a six-shot lead after 54 holes. Making the first 67 holes of the tournament without a bogey. However, after then making three, he finished second.
Another feat was achieved by Morikawa when he finished solo third at the Farmers Insurance Open. He was three shots behind Max Homa.
In July, Morikawa was tied for the lead after 72 holes at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Morikawa’s runner-up finish to Rickie Fowler put him in the ninth spot in the U.S. Team Rankings.
Morikawa has exceptional accuracy and ball-striking ability with a consistent swing.
If he continues playing like that, then his dream of securing a spot in the U.S. Ryder Cup Team should come to fruition, as he mentioned.
“Ryder Cup is obviously a huge goal of mine and has been the past two years,” he said.
