Trevor Lawrence took major steps forward last season to earn his first career Pro Bowl nod while leading the Jacksonville Jaguars to a postseason appearance and Wild Card Weekend victory.

Now, the Jaguars enter 2023 with heightened expectations and Lawrence has gone to great lengths to ensure he is set up well to follow up his impressive season.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Jags franchise signal-caller has worked tirelessly to improve his training regimen and diet to gain muscle this offseason while honing in on his technique and mastering the team’s offensive system.

After starting 3-7 in their first 10 games last season, the former No. 1 overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft led the Jags to win six of their last seven games, finishing with a 9-8 record and winning the AFC South in the team’s first season under head coach Doug Pederson.

Last season, Lawrence eclipsed 4,000 passing yards while throwing 25 touchdown passes and only eight interceptions. He also added 291 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns, using his blend of size and athleticism to create plays with his legs.

Lawrence looked sharp in the Jags’ 2023 preseason opener, completing five of his six attempts for 36 yards, one touchdown, and an interception.

Another offseason of continuity under Pederson and his coaching staff combined with Lawrence’s new offseason training/dietary habits, and the addition of former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley, the stage is set for the young quarterback and the Jags to take another big step forward in 2023.
