Four-time Pro Bowl running back, Dalvin Cook plans to sign a one-year deal with the New York Jets, with the deal worth up to $8.6 million.
Meanwhile, sources state that the Jets are to acquire another talent just weeks before their 2023 season opener.
ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, shed some light on the deal through a tweet.
Apart from the contract, Cook will have a $7 million base salary and $1.6 million in incentives.
Cook is coming after four straight Pro Bowl seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.
The decision came after veteran quarterback, Aaron Rodgers decided to take a $35 million pay cut.
Subsequently, giving the Jets the financial workability so that they can acquire high-priced players like Dalvin Cook.

Once the NFL 2023 starts, Cook among other aces is said to strengthen the backfield of the Jets.
Jets head coach Robert Saleh when asked about Cook, he stated, “Obviously, you don’t want to say no to a great player.”
Cook is said to be an incredible addition for the New York Jets after the team re-established their offense by acquiring Rodgers.
Well, as an add-on they have also signed two wide receivers Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman and have also changed their coordinators.
The RB is said to be one of the best talents when it comes to running.
Well, since 2019 Cook’s average is 111 scrimmage yards per game. His one-cut style will fit in with the Jet’s running scheme outside the zone.
Furthermore, Saleh further stated that “Cook is a very good young man. He has a plan, he knows exactly what he wants and it was a really good discussion.”
