Dwyane Wade names his all-time Starting 5: Jordan, LeBron and who else?

Dwayne Wade took to X recently to share a cool snippet on his All-Time Starting five, and the former Miami Heat legend picks a team that will echo in the Halls of Basketball Valhalla.

Steph Curry, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Shaqille O’Neil.

The clip quickly went viral, with the 13 x All-Star hitting the right notes with NBA fans.

Do you agree or is there another on-court dominator you believe will crack this starting line-up (in no particular order).

5: Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors

Steph is still on court hustling for points but is already widely recognized as the greatest shooter in the NBA. The 4-x time NBA champion took scoring three-pointers to the next level, inspiring players across the world to attempt the perfect basket.

The Davidson College alumni has a host of NBA records including the most three points (3,390 and counting).

The all-time NBA record for highest three-point percentage throws, minimum 1,200 attempts at least a 90.7% average.

The NBA play-off king of three points, he drained 98 in a season (tied with Klay Thompson).

4: Michael Jordan (Bulls, Wizards)

What else is there to say about the six-time NBA champion that has not only been written but also been seen as critically acclaimed Netflix series.

The North Carolina College baller has picked up six finals MVP titles, inspired a nation, heck, is one of the most widely recognized athletes on the planet. There is no debating his inclusion … NONE.

3: Kobe Bryant (Lakers)

The late Bryant is included in almost every list of all-time greats and the shooting guard had the numbers, longevity and star power to power into any line-up. Before his tragic passing, Bryant was a five-time NBA winner and 5-time NBA finals MVP. He spent his entire 20 years with the LA Lakers and is widely recognized as one of the greats.

Posthumously named into the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame, Bryant had also picked up two Olympic gold medals for the USA, in Beijing 2008 and London 2012. There was nothing this Lower Merion (Ardmore, Pennsylvania) did not win, and with his passing we will always remember him.

4:  LeBron James (Miami Heat, Lakers, Cavaliers)

The 2003 first round, first overall pick of the class of 2003, James has been at the top of his craft for two decades, playing in 19 NBA All-Star games.

‘King James’ is mentioned in the same conversation as Jordan in the greatest player of them all and is the league’s leading point scorer. He is fourth on the list of assists, showing his versatility and sublime skill.

The 3-x Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year is known all over the world.

 5. Shaqille O’Neil (Magic, Lakers, Heat, Suns, Cavaliers, Celtics)

The 7 ft 1 centre was a colossus on the court and was the first round first overall pick for the Orlando Magic in 1992.

He would go on to carve out a career so meaningful it would stand head and shoulders above the giant himself.

The 4-x NBA champions has played for six teams in his career and was named an All Star 15 times in his 19-year career.

His numbers were twice retired in the NBA, no. 34 at the Lakers and 32 at the Heat.

Big Shaq not only scored, but was immense in defence, and even had his number retired by the LSU in the NCAA.
