Nick Bosa, the defensive end of the San Francisco 49ers, has been in the news regarding his contract holdout. His holdout has significantly become more expensive recently.
Bosa’s fine includes $40,000 for each day of the training camp missed. According to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Per Article 7, Section 7(h), Bosa could also face a fine of a regular-season game check. A fine for each preseason game boycotted.
Nick Bosa could be fined $992,166 for being absent in the preseason game against the Raiders. The 49ers are likely to waive the fines since the CBA does not forbid them from doing so. If they do not, then getting one of the best talents of the defensive under contract might get problematic.
There has not been any hostility towards the absence of Bosa. Coach Kyle Shanahan has also recently ignored the fact that Bosa is skipping practice.
Finding a deadline that everyone can agree on has become the issue. The San Francisco 49ers want Bosa to be back in time for their Week One matchup against the Steelers. But before that happens, both sides should come to a mutually satisfying agreement.
In four seasons and more than 50 career games, Bosa has made 43 sacks. Registering 15.5 in 2021, and 18.5 in the last season. Bosa has 51 tackles, two forced fumbles, 48 quarterback hits, and a pass defense.
