In a recent announcement, the Las Vegas Raiders revealed that veteran right tackle Brandon Parker has been placed on injured reserve.
The exact nature of Parker’s injury has not been disclosed by the team.
However, this marks the second time Parker has landed in the injured reserve, after he suffered a triceps injury last August.
Parker, 27, has been a part of the Raiders organization since being selected as a third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Over the course of his four seasons with the team, he has started in 32 games, showcasing his talent and contribution in the offensive line.
To fill the void left by Parker’s absence, the Raiders have signed wide receiver Isaiah Zuber to the 90-player roster.
Zuber, 26, previously spent time on the Raiders’ practice squad during the last season. However, he was released by the team in April.
Zuber has also had stints on the practice squads of the 49ers, Browns, and Jets.
Originally signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2020, Zuber has appeared in four career games. During this time, he has recorded two receptions for 29 yards and two rushing attempts for 21 yards.
Well, with this signing it looks like as the season progresses, the Raiders will continue to surpass the challenges posed by unexpected events such as injuries and make strategic moves to maintain their team’s strength.
