EA Sports has just announced that Colorado Avalanche’s defenceman Cale Makar is the Cover Athlete for the NHL 24.

After his impressive form and performance in the 2019-20 season, Makar swiftly made up his way to the NHL’s top-notch defenceman league.
His trajectory has only moved upward since he played in the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs, in which Makar led his team to the Stanley Cup win.
He was also awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy for playoff MVP and also the Norris Trophy for best defenseman.
With Makar adorning the cover of NHL 24, he joins the elite list of NHL defensemen who has been on the cover.
The list includes, Dion Phaneuf (NHL 09), P.K. Subban (NHL 19), and Chris Pronger (NHL 2000), Scott Stevens and Steve Yzerman shared the NHL 96 cover.
In 2022-23, Makar amassed 66 points that is 17 goals, and 49 assists in 60 games.
The official reveal trailer will be released by EA Sports on Wednesday.
