Must-Watch: Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll, at 71, shows off some amazing Quarterback skills in practice

At 71 years old, Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is still in fantastic shape to the extent that he is able to participate in practice with his team.

Carroll played college football at the University of Pacific and showed he is still capable of slinging the ball and finding the open receiver when given a clean pocket to throw from.

He was moving up in the pocket, navigating traffic, reading through his progressions, and stepping into throws with confidence at the Seahawks practice. He even found Pro Bowl wide receiver D.K. Metcalf in the corner of the end zone.

The Seahawks head coach is known for his infectious personality and high energy. Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith referred to him as the “ageless wonder.”

Last season was the first time since 2012 that Carroll entered the season without Russell Wilson as his quarterback. After a rough ending to a historic tenure in Seattle, the two sides felt a fresh start was for the best.

While things didn’t go particularly well for Wilson in his first season with the Denver Broncos, Carroll helped restore Geno Smith’s career. The Seahawks went 9-8 in 2022 and Smith was voted to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his nine-year career.

Smith threw for 4,282 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. However, after seeing the way Carroll throws the football, Smith’s job as the starting quarterback could be in jeopardy.
