Ja Morant, the Grizzles point guard was in limelight after being suspended from the first 25 games of the 2023-24 NBA season.
Tee Morant, his father who was also a known basketball player, held his son accountable for his suspension.
While talking to campers at the Up Next Elite Camp in New Orleans he stated that it was his son’s ow fault and no one else’s.
Morant is a two-time NBA All-Star and the league"s 2020 Rookie of the Year, and was suspended after he was seen flashing a gun on his while going live on Instagram, not once but twice.
However, Morant"s father also reminded the young participants to very careful about every decision they make.
Through his words of wisdom, the elder Morant also reminded everyone that his son was solely responsible for the consequence.
He held his son"s behaviour liable rather than blaming the people Ja hangs around with.
Tee Morant stated, “My son didn"t get in trouble for people around him — he got in trouble for his decisions,".
“So always be mindful of every decision y"all make, because it can pretty much take over you and consume you and make you think that you"re who you"re not. … I"m just telling y"all, just make the right decisions, alright?"

Ja was served an eight-game suspension for his actions when he first flashed his gun, but then when the incident occurred for the second time, he was suspended for 25 games of the season.
Subsequently, Morant’s season has been cut short and he will not participate in any game until December.
