Watch: Patriots-Packers preseason game suspended after rookie cornerback suffers scary blow to the head

The preseason game between the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers got suspended in the 4th quarter, after a player sustained an injury. 

The rookie cornerback of the Patriots, Isaiah Bolden got knocked by a player during the 4th quarter of the game.

Unfortunately, Bolden suffered an impact on his head and neck area, and remained on the ground after the impact.

Calvin Munson, Patriots linebacker was tackling Packers receiver Malik Heath, when Bolden got hit on his head.

Medical assistance was immediately provided and the players from the both teams took a knee, in order to stop the ongoing game. 

Bolden was taken off the field on a stretcher.

Bill Belichick, Patriots coach and Packers Coach Matt LaFleur after suspended the game after a brief discussion.

In a press conference, the Patriots coach, Belichick regarding the situation said, " We"ll all pray for Isaiah."

“I appreciate the way the league handled it. I think that was the right thing to do."

 Mac Jones, the Patriots quarterback regarding his teammate’s injury expressed himself saying, "You can"t take things for granted. 

Just want to be there for one another, want to be there for him him, for his family."

“it sounds like he"s [Bolden] doing a lot better."

Regarding the team"s decision, he said, "I think it"s important that, just as people, right, beyond the game of football, just to understand that we all love each other."

The 23-year-old cornerback, Bolden was picked up by the Patriots in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
