The 2023 Ryder Cup is set to take place in Italy from September 25 to October 1. Team USA is starting to come together as the first six who automatically qualified have been named.
Scottie Scheffler, Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay, Brian Harman, Max Homa, and Xander Schauffele will all represent the United States at this year’s Ryder Cup.

These six players automatically qualified for the Ryder Cup based on the recent results of the BMW Championship – won by Viktor Hovland.
Clark, Harman, and Homa are all making debut appearances in the Ryder Cup and look to start off their experience on a positive note.
These players have all fared well in 2023 thus far and look to carry that momentum into the Ryder Cup.
Now, U.S. team captain, Zach Johnson, will pick the remaining half of the roster to join Team USA in Italy.
While waiting for Johnson to select the other half of the roster, it must be noted that some big names had missed out on the automatic qualification.
Players such as Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth, Collin Morikawa, and Sam Burns were among other notable players who did not make the cut.
Koepka currently sits at seventh in the Ryder Cup standings but his status as a LIV Golf member makes it difficult for him to earn Ryder Cup points.
Regardless of who is selected, Team USA seems to be in good hands moving forward as they prepare to face Team Europe in the 2023 Ryder Cup.
